Sam Burgess returns to South Sydney

The trouble is he wasn't one of the best centres in England and the English selectors made a big mistake picking him on potential alone. Even $BW and Brad Thorn took a full season to make the transition.

No. Kirwan was cut from the All Blacks in 1994 and knew he was washed up and wouldn't make the World Cup team. He joined the Warriors as his superannuation scheme and did as well as anyone expected ie: what Graham Lowe called a 'workmanlike performance'. Platt won the Man of Steel award...

This thread is about the most overrated players in Rugby League history. John Kirwan was a washed-up former Union player who still managed to be the Warrior's top try-scorer in 1996, despite being years past his prime. If anything he was underrated. Andy Platt was regarded as literally one...

Andy Platt. Was the consensus no.2 prop in the world behind Lazarus and was paid a small fortune to follow John Monie to the Warriors. ...and he just didn't do anything. His entire game involved slowly waddling to the line, getting tackled and falling down, then contributing to gang tackles on...
