    The experiment has failed

1999 - 2023 25 years of waste , confusion and angst. The NRL has bastardised the game of Rugby League. Corruption is rife - Management , Game Officials , Judiciary , Media , operation of Clubs. Contracts broken at whim / Players jumping ship on the eve of Finals in the hope of picking up an...

    Sack Griffin

@SBD82 I must be one of those old cranky men you were referring to above. However , I back Old Timer's comments & his rationale. Unlike yourself he passionately expresses his point of view , backs it up & is not condescending. In summary I view OT's comments as Players should be accepting...

    Sack Griffin

Take a bow Old Timer. Your comments over the last few weeks are spot on. The Media beat-up on Griffin started as soon as his name was linked to our Club. It has been disgraceful (orchestrated by Gus , the living legend). We should all remind ourselves this is the OFF SEASON & the notable scribes...

Standby for our Management Team to announce our new Coach. After their Season has now drawn to a close , it will be a shock to many - yes , John Longmire ! The Swans put in a typical "Red & white" performance today.:p

In reference to Tyrell Sloan ... I too like the young Fella but here's a few facts to consider : 6'1" + 84kgs + silky speed ; much been said of his light frame Graeme Langlands - 6'+78kgs + capable speed (but played with grit , tenacity , often selected out of position) Michael Potter - 5'9"+...

    Judiciary

From personal experience , as a Schoolboy , there was 1 Club who were coached to introduce several acts of foul play in their game. I had 2 mates who were selected to play First grade as Teenagers. At one of our School training sessions these 2 instructed us on the "skills" that had been passed...

Stop. Everyone take a breath. A long , deep breath. Then take another. Gather up your Family , sit around a log fire , join hands & sing : "Kumbuya my Lord , kumbuya Kumbuya my Lord , kumbuya ... " Works for Me !

    The Cap

Simple answer - 13 Import rule. Melbourne have been in the Competition since 1998 & have done nothing with "their" Juniors. So much for "developing the game". They're not the only one's who rape & pillage Talent from elsewhere as we know but the game is slowly dying that is for sure.

Brad Mackay - don't know about his C.O.G. but was one helluva of a Player wherever you put him. (Fullback , Centre , 5/8 , LOCK , 2nd Row , Hooker). He was also a Junior & started very young in first grade because he had the right attitude & ability at that level.

Ben Woolf - seems to have a good grounding. Let's hope he gets a go without our Club Politicians cruelling him. (He has a 24 year old Son that plays hooker : interesting ?).

    NRL Games

Like I've said before - THE NRL is V'landys version of BBL.

Like I intimated elsewhere , Hook is the Board's Fall Guy. They have no intention on shifting him until Young Jnr has the Yellow Brick Road laid out before him. Maybe he's putting Woods , Moga , McCulloch on display - window shopping - so that other Club's can see their talent (ha ha) & will...

    The Rumours Thread

Professional outfit ASADA. 4 years ago I turned up at a Basketball Stadium to collect my Son's Rep gear for the upcoming season. A well known AFL Team were there on centre court playing a mock match in lieu of footy training. I stopped for a moment to watch the Players' basketball form - an...
