    Season 2024

The best teams are the ones who are the best defenders, first and foremost. That needs to be our primary objective in 2024 - concede far less points. Its easy to build an effective attack off the back of good defence. It is not possible to do it the other way round.

Rumours (signings, sackings & other NRL stuff)

I've heard this far too much. TBH - I've heard far too much from this club in the media this offseason. Talk is cheap when you're holding a wooden spoon.

Rumours (signings, sackings & other NRL stuff)

Those articles and comments are all propaganda from the king of cheap talk - Sheens. This club needs to be realistic. The game today is zero like 2005. The way you find success now is off the back of strong defence. In 2005 the Tigers conceded 23.96 points per game. Parramatta (1st on the...

Random Tigers articles from the media

The salary cap will always allow players in good sides who want more money, to find a new club willing to meet their demands

    Season 2023

Brooks does run the ball. Every year from 2017 to 2022 he's averaged at least 74 metres per game. In total, 11,130 run metres from 123 games at 90.49 metres per game Nathan Cleary has 10,924 metres from 122 games at 89.54 metres per game The problem isn't his running game. Never has been...

Random Tigers articles from the media

Wests Tigers and the Titans have used more players from 2012-2022 than any other NRL sides. They will always attract players. But they will always struggle to sign the right players and/or superstar players.

    Alan Whiticker's player profiles

I think he wrote them that way to try and ensure that his encyclopedia's didn't get too big in size.

    Should madunit return?

I gotta get back into the groove. Been busy as f**k with RLP and the yearbook we just released. Got more writing work to do, so hopefully will try and make more a of a presence from next month. Will probably post a poll about me - just a heads up ;-)

    Alan Whiticker's player profiles

The Alan Whiticker bio's have been on the site for over a decade. He kindly gave them to us which we saw as a good addition to a lot of the more prominent players up til that point.

    If not Madge, then who?

Some strong word going around that John Morris has been offered the gig and he has accepted

Simpkin and Madden have moved considerably up the priorities list also.

    Tigers Movements

Ok, so heres what I have heard. Brooks moving to 6 has lessened his asking price marginally (from other clubs) His admission and clear fact that he cannot call or run plays has turned clubs off him. He will see out his current deal with Tigers. Madge is open to making him a 9, so that...

So, where are we going to finish in ‘22?

The problem with that stat is that the bulk of those support runs are coming out of our own half and f**k all of them are in the attacking zone. Hence why we can get out of trouble well, but we struggle to score enough points against average or better defences.

So, where are we going to finish in ‘22?

12th. The problem is no matter how simple Madge makes the gameplan or the structure, the players simply do not follow it. They aren't rebelling, they just lack someone who understands the process Madge expects and is then able to keep everyone to that plan on the field - usually the task of...
