Shout out to @Wizardman and all those with early onset winning anxiety.

I had a brief spell of doom and gloom myself.

A lot of our tries had the scent of X factor and not orthodox.

The boys seemed pretty happy as a group.

Taylan on the bench would be a sound deterrent, strike footy player.

Not quite Sailor and Lote....but boy, they do the same type of job description in terms of taking some tough hitups.

I should wash my mouth out with that last comment. Lote and Tuaki played in the same team once. Beau Ryan was also there to interfere.

What we finally got to see in this game, more consistently and properly executed in the second half, was Luai's right side running game, where he run's a little straighter than he does on the left (where he tends to drift sideways more often). Then as he nears the defensive line, he straightens sharply to cause the defence to stop sliding and he then throws a good ball out wide to players in motion who are able to beat their outside defenders.

If we can have a few guys running different line options when in the opposition 30, he's gonna have options everywhere and defences are going to struggle to contain our edge attack.

It still needs work as there were times the outside men were too far away from Luai. But it was working a hell of a lot better than it did against the Knights.

Galvin looked much better, admittedly against that woeful Eels defence that looked like they spent the offseason watching Formula 1 pitstop videos for defence practice. Ryles has undone something functional and capable of being worked with and decided to reprogram it with a poo instead.

Which is unfortunate...I guess....lol
