    SGB @ Raiders v Bulldogs

Hello all, For those who haven't been following the other thread, the arrangements for this weekend's match are as follows: Dogs v Raiders, 5:30pm kickoff (NRL). The match is in Gosford, at Express Advodate Stadium (formerly NorthPower Stadium, Central Coast Stadium and Grahame Park)...

    SGB @ Campbelltown

This Sunday the Raiders are up against Wests Tigers at Campbelltown Stadium, and the Sydney Green Brigade will be in attendance. We will be sitting on the southern hill (leagues club end of the ground), in the eastern corner, in front of the scoreboard. Just buy general admission tickets and...

    SGB Documentary Update

I was determined not to post on this topic, but i cracked. Where to start... The "Oh Canberra" song was made up by tom and me before any of you had even heard of the SGB. Of course the tune is not original, nor the concept (a direct Northern Spirit rip-off), but the words are ours. The...

SGB WEBSITE HAS HAD A FACELIFT!

Those two pictures from 1995 were both taken in round one, btw. I have plenty of SGB pics from 2001, and a few more Raiders Army pics from the mid 1990s if anyone has a scanner.

SGB WEBSITE HAS HAD A FACELIFT!

Why do the Brumbies out do the Raiders in crowd numbers?

Skeepe - to argue that the waratahs are more popular than rugby league in Sydney is ridiculous. For starters, the waratahs are a state side. If you want to argue on that level, then how many people go to a NSW home game for rugby league? (60-80,000). How many watch it on TV? (over a million)...

    SGB @ Shark Park

    So who else is coming?

    The Charitable SGB

I know that the Raiders Army used to sit on the eastern touchline on those benches, but they don't exist any more. In fact, they were replaced by News Limited for the aborted start of Super League in 1996. I guess you are showing your age :) Anyway, now those wooden benches are numbered...

Sorry Ben, it appears you got to it just before me!!

    The Charitable SGB

Woodgers, the SGB does not intentionally sit behind the posts, but we do intentionally sit in the general admission areas at all the ground (in most cases this just happens to be the same place). The idea is that we sit in the place in the ground where they don't have numbered seats, so that...

    SGB @ Shark Park

Hello one and all! The Raiders take on the Sharks this Saturday night at Shark Park (Toyota Park, Endeavour Field, Caltex Field, Ronson Field). As always, the SGB will be sitting on the southern hill. This is at the captain cook drive end of the ground (NOT the hill with the power lines...

Why do the Brumbies out do the Raiders in crowd numbers?

If we want to get crowds back then we are going to have to be successful over a number of years. If you remember back to the late 90s and early 00s, there was a period of about 2 or 3 years where the raiders averaged higher crowds than the Brumbies, even though the Brumbies had been far more...

    The Charitable SGB

You guys should know that most of the old supporters club flags still exist and they still come to games in Sydney. The majority of the flags and banners that were stolen and lost were actually flags that i had bought the material for, and stitched up myself. That includes the Sydney Green...

    SGB Website

Sully, i did all of the content on the old SGB site that most of the new SGB site was listed from. I also scanned the photos for the site, including the ones from 1994 and 1995 (i have a whole album of them). If you have a look at the original site -...

    Raiders 26 - Eels 12

Is it just me or does there seem to be a pattern where we go up 12-0, and then we take the foot off the pedal? We seem to plateau, then let the opposition in in the first half of the second half. And i think we are missing toots. I am convinced that once he is back we will be very tough to...

    News Ltd

IF we own the Mawson club, the sports club at Gungahlin, Queanbeyan Leagues, the club in brisbane and now royals, what are the other 4 clubs? (simon hawkins said we owned 9 clubs)

    The NRL should

If the NRL did allow the use of flares, then there would be absolutely no danger. Flares only become dangerous when people throw them around because they don't want to get pinged for lighting one. There are no problems in european soccer games cos you can just light them and stand there...

    Crowd tonight

Now do you guys see why it was so important to get the guys down from bay 25 to the GB bay!? Anyway, i think i have spilt enough ink on that topic. The point is we need as many people sitting in Bay 66 who are willing to sing and chant as possible. I couldn't make it last friday night, but...

Melbourne bias in Sydney rags. Why should we put up with it?

The problem is that because sydney and brisbane are much nicer places to live, many more people move north from melbourne. This means that the rugby league cities are slowly being infiltrated by AFL supporters (like Jeff Wells). Maybe we need to do the same. Maybe we could convince some...
