    Footy Show - Female viewers

Looks to me like they're trying to attract more females to the game in general, especially in light of all the bulldogs and storm stuff. This is evident in the NRL add campaign. Only seemd logical that the Footy Show will echo the NRL's wishes.

    Turvey has just resigned

Definatel agree. Being far from a bulldogs supporter, I still feel for Hughes and Turvey. What a dissapointment. A top bloke, now out of a job. The bulldogs will fine it hard to find someone with Turvey's integrity to pull them out of this.

    Bulldogs Issue

Would they be able to move it though? Isn't it the state government that legislates on these matters? The law re gang rape was ammended so those convicted would serve longer sentences, that had to go through state parliament. Not sure if same laws apply in other states???

    Bulldogs Issue

Cool. I just heard that one of the guys convicted of gang rape had his conviction overturned and a retrial ordered pretty much because of media sensationalism (Is that a word...??) Same thing could happen in this situation. If it goes that far.

    Bulldogs Issue

Sorry guys, ignore that. I just read back.

    Bulldogs Issue

I might be being totally ignorant here, but take David Hookes' death. The dude that was arrested and charged with manslaughter's name was platered in all the papers, and I'm pretty sure the guys who was jailed for 55 years' name was relaeased while being investigated. Does that mean that the...

    New rape allegation

Fair call. When you look @ it that way, it's not just the players integrity and morals being questioned, the club could lose so much in terms of revenue becasue of a few loose comments in the papers. Sure, the media's job is to print the truth, but do they ever? Or is it all about pushing...

    New rape allegation

Yeah, the media haven't been all that professional and unbiased, but their job is to print the news. And this is news. Sure, there's better ways to go about it, but in a situation like this, it's up to the readers to determine fact from fiction, fact from emotion and fact from plain lies.

More mud from Jacquelin Magnay and Jessica Halloran

Yep. The players aren't getting the same kind of coverage, and regardless of whether or not individual players were involved, all of the Bulldogs are being looked at as rapists. I've never been a Bulldogs supporter, but I feel kind of sorry for them @ the moment. Hope it's not unwarranted....

    New rape allegation

I agree. People recognise professional sportspeople as part of what ever sport they play.

More mud from Jacquelin Magnay and Jessica Halloran

I reckon it's important to take into consideration that IF what the girl says DID in fact happen, she's got to be feeling like crap @ the moment. As far as we know, she MIGHT be telling the truth. Isn't it better to have some compassion all those involved and not rag on either party untill the...

    New rape allegation

My point is that 'average joes' have less chance of being found out of any indescretion then elite sportspeople. Most 'average joes' don't wear badges on their chests saying "I work for so & so" on a Saturday night on the p*ss, and really, is it newsworthy that 'average joe' likes gang bangs? In...

    New rape allegation

Oh come on!! Is this a forum for Rugby League or society? 90% of MEN aren't representing a club and a game and a business venture when they're out on the p*ss. If 90% of men go out and get laid on a weekly basis, it doens't make national news and there are no threats of fines for bringing...

    New rape allegation

The point this woman is making is that there was a culture of objectifying women 20 years ago, and there is a culture of objectifying women now. Regardless of whether the sex was consensual, why did they *allegedly* do it? I'm 99% sure players who go out after any match in any city aren't...
