    Foreign Competitions

How is the growth of the game in Russia? Any new teams added to their comp in the last 24 months?

No Tri Nations in 2005, but France to tour Aust.

Maybee we should interpret it this way. The ARL are nervous about Australia hosting Fixtures at the end of the regular NRL season. This may be an effort to test the water and see if the Australian public respond and come out in good numbers to watch France and GB. I think a Lions tour would be...

    France 30 Australia 52

I think it is quite remarkable that France put 30 points on Australia.......I'm still stunned by that. Great Performance, they obviously have the talent within their playing stocks. I hope that UTC lock up the best of the players involved in that match, if they can and with the couple of...

    WORLD 17 SIDE

Well Kris Man....I was trying not to be biased in regards to Matty Bowen lol! I was basing the side on the performances within this series. Of course Johns is the best halfback in the world, but he hasn't played rep footy for a while. I choose Long for his running game in taking on the line...

    Brent Webb Shocker

I wouldn't give up on Hunt.....he's got some good players in front of him for the QLD fullback jersey, it wouldn't suprise me to see him play for NZ at some stage

Farrell - "Aussies are soft" / What is up with the

Mate I'm a queenslander but Wayne Bennett would have something to winge about if the bloke won lotto. Its a continuing thing during an NRL season, I've been sick of it for a long long time.

Will the tri series be a cash cow????

I think the key is getting France and Russia up in strength, only then will a WC be credible. Both countries have the potential to be a force, it will take some Resources and Development to make this happen and the IRLF will need to be given a large increase in funds, but it is feasible. I tend...

    Aussies And Biff Don't Mix

While I'm always partial to a bit of biff in a game, I prefer to see it at the start of a game when the players are fired up and its a bit of a release. O'Mealy coming in the way he did is not on, the fight had all but been broken up. If anything it makes Australians look like bad sports.

    australia

The ARL would need to market a potential series properly. They would get the crowds.....no doubt about it, probably nothing above 40,000, but certainly enough to make a TRI Series down under financially viable. A little bit of faith in taking it down under is needed, once fans in Australia...

How did we lose that game???

While some of their kicks were still atrocious, the GB kicking game was markedly improved. Defence was superb and they wanted the result more than we did. I would agree with what some of the games leading experts are saying in that this GB team is the strongest its been since the 70's. How well...

    Tri-Series Shouldn't Be Annual

When the Free to air deal is Re-negioated and the NRL starts to recieve what it should from Nein (The current deal I believe is 13-15 Million) Then the NRL will be in a postion to provide further funding to the clubs. This will alleviate the clubs reliance on gates income and the season will be...

    Tri-Nations open to move

To be honest, we probably wouldn't get the same crowds as they currently do in GB, but I'm sure that once poeple get used to it being scheduled in the League calender, it's popularity would grow signifigantly. They used to get pretty decent crowds to GB tours of Australia, I'm sure that...

Has Benji Marshall definately declared himself available for NZ? He could really make a difference to that side if he continues to develop.

    Wiki on the loss

"I hope we smash the poms, then the Kiwis smash them the following week. Nothing better than listening to those commentators rip into their own team, its fu*king hilarious." Thats harsh Dragon......lol!!!!

    Wiki on the loss

I feel sorry for the Kiwi's, they just don't have the strike power in the Backs. Their fowards set a great platform and the team just can't capitalise on the opportunities given it. A bloke like Sonny Bill blames himself because he feels he isn't doing enough. With a good half's combination...

Next TRI Series in Aus and NZ

I thinks Jeffles suggested format is a good one. I personally think the Tri series should be every second year. Alternating between the Northern and Southern Hemisphere, so the timing would revert to how it used to be we go to GB every 4 years and Gb to Australia every 4 years. I think that way...

    I TOLD YOU SO!

Really what it shows is that the effort being channelled into International Rugby League by the NRL and SL is shockingly deficient. I think at a minimum 1 if not 2 referee's from both NZ and France should be contracted on a part time basis to the NRL and SL. As part of their duties they would...

    Mental Toughness - Great Britain

I think that considering it was GB first game and it showed as the game went on needs to be taken into account. Australia have had the benefit of two hard games vs NZ as a preparation, that can't be discounted. However, the dissapointment of losing that game in the last minute is not going to...
