Does anyone know the last time 2 teams played each other after both coming off being held scoreless the week before?
Sharks & Broncos were both held scoreless on the weekend and meet next Monday.

Good question.
The Tigers were held scoreless two weeks in a row in 04 by Saints & Easts, not sure who they played after Easts and how that team went the week before.
I'll look it up shortly and check.

Closest I can think of is Melbourne vs Dragons in Round 1 this year.
Melbourne held to nil in 2008 Grand Final.
Dragons held to 6 in Qual. Final vs the Dragons last year, however the week before they were held to nil vs the Roosters.

Last time two teams were held to nil the same week i think is back in 2001. Storm beat Tigers 64-0 and Knights beat Broncos 44-0.

it would have been in the back end of the year.

I think the more pertinent question would be, when was the last time we saw a 0 - 0 draw in the NRL. It certainly looks like that may be on the cards for this match.

But did the Tigers and Broncos meet the following week?

I think it will be a 'regular' scoring game.

Both teams have sh*t attack and sh*t defence will probably cancel each other out.

no.

I reckon it would never have happened since Super League, so you would be looking at around late 80's early 90's.

the ultimate cripple fight

defence on both sides is sh*t. on paper the broncs look to have more points in them but havent shown it in the past few months

maybe the nrl should spare supporters from both clubs and just declare it a draw now and not waste everybody's time

It should be free entry for the fans...first scorer wins....and score in any capacity....field goal, goal, try...sex with a cheerleader...anything.

Our defence is not that bad, our attack on the other hand..................

2-0 to the broncs after gallen gives away 3 penalties in a row, the last being during the process of michaels bombing a try and the drongos deciding not to risk it and take the 2.
