Slater doesnt deserve to be dropped, not his fault hes got a f**king spastic at 5/8.
 Hunt directed him across the sideline for his kick returns did he? How about playing at the football to prevent it from going into touch when there was no threat of a 40/20? Not to mention the numerous times where he drifted across the defensive line on kick returns only to be smashed by a Blues forward.

Slater hasn't offered what an Origin fullback should (just the same as Hunt hasn't as a 5/8).

I'd be happy with ditching slater for the second game (doubtful cause to many people suck his wang) and see the following:

1. Hunt
6. Thurston
7. Prince

keep PJ though

What do panthers fans think about the performance of the nsw halfback? :p

No use dwelling on the past. Wallace is gone if he comes back that'd be great but quite frankly I can't see it happening. Wallace never played this well at penrith and now we're a better team than last year. I'm just interested in the players we have with us now and doing the best we can with them.

Too good but it's hard to win anything when your players in crucial positions in Slater, Hunt, Thurston, Smith and Marsh were all completely sh*t on the same night.

Slater and Smith were crap I grant that.
But Hunt and Thurston?
They were the only b*stards on the park trying desperately.

Hunt is out of position,it was never going to work - Let's be realistic.
The fact is NSW had superior, superior defence and Queensland was no way in shape or form ready for that.

Slater, choked and was absolutely horrible - He's been given two tries now and it's apparent that this problem isn't going away.
I've never been one to say Hunt owns the fullback spot, but he needs it back for game 2.

Smith was nothing, what is it with useless hooker captains?

I knew we'd lose this one,I had a feeling about it.
We'll see about the whole series.

I wish Stewart would put his body on the line occasionally, rather than tapping the ball into touch everytime it gets near the frickin touch line

Queensland stunk up the joint tonight. NSW were on fire, and Qld were awful, Slater and the back line were shut down, Hunt was great in defense but shocking in offense (badly needed Lockyer or a Prince), forwards didn't do much besides Petero. NSW were extremely well coached, hats off to Craig Bellamy, best coach in RL.

Agree, and Jaryd Hayne's returns are pathetic he runs 10 metres sideways and 2 metres up.

Um...who's to say Prince wouldn't have been equally as useless tonight?
Cause Prince really has a knack for steering him team when they're losing...
And I'm sure he would have been wonderful defending the line like Hunt did tonight...

Put him in there and let's see how they go,Slater went in there and made an absolute mess of the thing.
