Roosters would have won even if Penrith had their full side on the paddock, if they keep pushing the Roosters would have pushed back but when they got to that 28-12 lead they pretty much played out the time without doing more than they had to to win.

Just because they lost 42-0 last week doesn't mean they can't win the comp, they have been one of the best sides this year and im sure every side in the NRL this year will be on the end of similar scorelines even if its only once or twice.

We lack the killer instinct to win by 50 Murray besides, your boys never gave up and kept us honest.

BTW did any one experience a 7 second delay like I did in the telecast?
A mate of mine lives in Gymea (I'm in Enmore) and he rang me during the game. He was watching nein but listening to Warren Ryan on the radio and was cheering at stuff before it evolved (to me) on the tele. So I asked if the radio was slightly ahead to which he replied no. When I told him him it said 18min 40 sec on the clock he said it was 18min 47sec.
Go figure!
Anyway the Roosters still have a lot of work ahead of them.
cheers

there is always a lag with the tv and radio. Where I live you can hear the difference if I have the radio and tv transmission going in the background

Were you watching the Digital Foxtel version of Channel Nein ? The Digi-Fox Ch Nein has a few seconds delay on it ... not sure of the reason why... maybe satellite related or whatever. It never used to be 7 seconds though.

You need control of the ball, I reckon no try.

Would rather the ref back himself though, people would argue about that if it went to VR anyways
They asked Harragon after the match was it a try. He said Yes. So I don't know...

I have just the standard feed from the Foxtel cable. My mate has no cable and to my knowledge has a standard tele. Any techies on the forum?

When O'Meley reached out to score, the ball left his hand for a split second but in the end he regained contact and slammed the ball down... didn't Inglis last time do the same thing against the Rabbitohs when he slammed the ball down after losing control.. I think both are fair tries.. as long as they don't throw the ball forward, losing it but regathering it before it hits the ground is a fair try everytime.

If people are complaining that O'Meleys wasn't a try, then what the f*ck was Sowards 'superman' try okay

not too upset about the loss as it we were never going to win with those injuries and their kicking game was alot better than ours. More upset about Priddis and Jennings being out and anxious to see the team sheet on Tuesday night. Use your head Elliot

i understand the angle you are pushing but by your own words there was seperation you can not gain control by leaving your arm above the ball it would have to come into contact with the hand again.
in the end the injuries where going to mean you got us in the end.i have no problems with the roosters you play whats in front of you and take what the ref gives you.But still i am proud of my panthers gutsy effort against all odds not to lose by 50

Learn the rules, downward pressure is required, not control.

I wasn't so worried by the put down as by the dive fitzgibbon took that gave them the set in which he scored.

Fitzgibbon can claim whatever the hell he likes but his a diver.

but you still have to have controll of the ball the ball left his hand meaning downward presure does not come into it
well downward pressure is where he grounds it
and i thought that even though he lost control for a bit.. he regained it

bill harrigan said that he would've awarded the try anyway

harrogan says that any time he is asked about a ref .Still in the end the penrith injuries decided the game rather than the omeally try.I am interested in your thoughts on the rooney no try less seperation than omeally
