Manly went into the game treating souths like geniuss which they practically are but souffs had nothing to lose and just threw the ball around and won. Im not sure why the souths fans are jacking off though, i would be pretty pissed off asking themselves where the f**k was this all year. At the end of the day souths season still ends in a few games.

Woeful effort today, didn't deserve to win. Was always concerned about the hangover from last week and so it proved to be

Oh well, back under the radar now which is good. After the last limp effort we put up last time Des tore them a new one, and they came out and peeled off 7 in a row, hopefully he served them up today

I never thought I'd say this based on Souffs earlier in the year... but they're an exciting team to watch. I'm worried about our match in a couple of weeks which is the first time I've gone into a Souffs match thinking we could possibly lose lol.

Souths get their halves to click

Beat NZ in NZ, and beat them while in form
Beat Titans while in form
Beat Parra who were desparate
Came from behind 28-4 and 24-6 to win against the wooden spooners
Put 40 on Manly

i mean... just face the facts Manly got dominated ? :/

how the hell was perry's try given?

What exactly was wrong with it? His hands didn't touch the ball. You can't tell me you think that was intentional? If so i think you're giving Perry a little too much credit.

I was worried that with little to play for Souths would throw it around a bit and possibly catch us off guard, but too many of their breaks were straight through the middle of the ruck. Here's hoping that the flu that went through camp, combined with a little post-Storm hangover are to blame, and we come back to ANZ on saturday agaisnt the Tiges and turn on our best form.

We've only had a good halves combination for less than half the year. Since Sandow and Wing have been 6 and 7 we've won more than we've lost. I'm not dissappointed. After our horror start we can honestly say that we have found a genuine halfback with a good kicking game. This is something that Souths haven't had since being re-admitted back into the competition. I know it wasn't possible but had we have had Sandow and Wing together all season I'm confident we'd have been sitting in the 8 somewhere right about now and with a genuine fullback + probably the form centre 3/4 of the competition atm coming along next year we are looking like a much better team. All we need is a couple of hard nosed forwards on our books and we will be up there next year.

souths say this kind of thing every year and every year, barring one 7th placed finish with immediate finals obliteration, they fall flat on their face. enjoy the deserved win but don't start counting your chickens....
