Yet another game Parramatta won solely due to incompetent refereeing. That's at least two this season, with the Raiders robbed in similar fashion.
The pass from Hayne in the lead-up to Todd Lowrie's try was at least 5 metres forward. It was passed 2 metres behind the 10, and received 3 metres in front of it. Disgraceful refereeing from a pair who were clearly on Parra's side. I also thought Hayne's foot went into touch just before he passed the ball for Parra's first try. The only reason the Storm won the penalty count was because Parramatta committed too many blatant offences that they simply couldn't ignore - by rights they should have given away 7 or 8 more penalties.
Hayne should have been binned for holding down Slater after he made a big break for one thing. Hayne and Scummarsh should have been binned for their, frankly disgusting, attitude to the referee. The Parramatta team as a whole clearly have no leadership on the field, and worst of all no respect for the officials. An absolute disgrace to the game.
Hayne is the most smug, arrogant bastard I've seen on the field in a long time. Calling out "What a f**king joke. What a f**king joke." to the referee after what was a correct video ref decision to deny Inu for a clear double movement, and then follow it up by screaming "For f**ks sake" into the ear of a referee, well, he had to go.
