It's clear you're still a bit pee'd off about last week, so you come in here and tip the storm by plenty.
No I just thought the Broncs would lose by plenty.
I would have enjoyed winning my tip, but it is the Storm.
I should start baggin the cowboys and tipping against them every week
You wouldn't survive being a Manly or Souths fan would you?
Dear me.

Great game
With possibly the worse non-decision by a group of referees I have ever seen in a game. How a try can be allowed after a blatant knock-on at dummy half was simply mindboggling
Still a great game

It was like he was thinking, due to the lack of VR calls so far, "must not go to the VR, must not go to the VR, etc". He even gave a long exaggerated look at the touchies as if to cleanse his conscience.

Was hardly as blatant as people are making out. He stepped backwards as he picked it up, so the ball ended up a long way in front of where he was. But whether it was in front of where he actually touched it from is a much closer call. Would love to see a slow motion replay, firstly stopped when he touched it then when it touched the ground.

It blatantally went forward off his hands.
It was blatant live
It was blatant on replay

Umm no, the motion in which he passed/threw the ball was BACKWARDS. Yes the ball went forward eventually.

I've seen plenty of those called play on. Should have gone to the video ref anyway.

It was a knock on. It shouldn't of been a try mate.

Good win in the end, I thought we deserved it.

It was a knock on. Can't say it cost the Storm the game though. They had plenty of oppurtunities in the second half to put the Broncos away.

I recorded the game, so I just watched the try again while constantly pausing. While I stand by my statement of it not being as blatant as people are making out, it was a knock on. It was made to look a lot worse than what it really was because of his body movement, but at the end of the day it did end up going forward from where he touched it.

There's the problem with the two referees. One is supposed to be watching the ruck, so the other relaxes and in the end, no one picks up a blatant knock on to the point they are so off the boil that between two on field referees and two touch judges they don't even realise there's a potential situation to refer it upstairs. Both those referees should be in reserve grade next week, Bellamy should blow up deluxe.

I mention, out of line to think that the 3 time gf finalists would beat Broncos by plenty...out the question I know:?

It was a pretty bloody big call considering the last time they played was a close match (the exact same score actualy, just reversed), and both sides carried good form into this match.

Not to mention that one of Melbourne's stars was coming in under an injury cloud and rumours abounded that one of Brisbane's stars would make a surprise appearance in an otherwise injury free full strength squad.

It's hard to look on your call as anything other than biased.

The Broncos were overall the better team last night I think but still some poor refereeing really soured that game. The Gorrell knock on from dummy half pretty much killed the game for me and I just found out the score. I've no longer got much interest in the Storm as a 2nd team or anything so this is not coming out of bias but I still think they were hard done by big time with that try being allowed. Even with 2 referees, sideline officials and a video referee the officials still make elementary mistakes. Not good enough.

Also I think its a bit unfair how the Broncos get back to back home games to start the season and noone else does. Helps get them off to a good start. Whereas someone like Newcastle have 2 away games to start the season. Don't understand the scheduling. I suppose everyone gets the same amount of home and away games in the end but I don't like the idea of teams getting 2 home games in a row to start seasons.

shades of 2006 that one!

the incredibly soft penalties against quinn in possession, the "late" hit on wallace, the slap by koopu plus hodges kick going dead in goal and FMD that knock on!!!

great game though and we still could/should have won.

Honestly I thought they could get through.
Fair enough if you think it's bias but I thought they would have a good win.
I really didn't expect the Storm to come out and play a Cronulla style of game, but that's footy.

Storm have some work to do, they'll miss the 8 if they continue to rely their only attack on GI.

Fantastic game but omfg seriously is Darren Lockyer the most over-rated player in our game today?? Everytime he touched the ball even if he knocked on Matt Johns or Ikin would be like "OH WOW WHAT A FANTASTIC PLAYER, DID YOU SEE HOW HE TOOK THOSE 2 STEPS THEN SURRENDERED IN THE TACKLE, HE MEANT TO DO THAT WOW JUST WOW. Walice was 1000 times better than Lockyer tonight but the commentators hardly mentioned it.

Ben Ikin is the worst commentator in the world. He says the most obvious comments that a 6 yr old would have noticed.

"They are really playing like a team with a plan"

No sh*t Sherlock. Give us something insightful for once.
