Good luck Panther fans, the weather forecast for out here in Penrith is fine all week, so here is hoping for a clear day and night come Friday.

This will be a good test for us Dragons coming off such an emotional game on Friday night, and physically draining game.
Getting Coops, J Smith and possibly Paea back though will be an added bonus for us. :D

Penrith's 1000th top-flight RL match (NSWRL, ARL, SL, NRL all together). They'll be wearing the heritage jersey, brown with double white vees.

Well there's pretty much only one possible outcome for this game. It's just a matter of how hard the Panthers make them work for it.

We know this much: the Dragons won't let a 26-point lead slip.

I do think Penrith will give them a good game, but the Dragons don't look like being beaten at the moment.

Elliott needs to pick the right side this week. Not having Bell and Tia Kilifi in the team last week and having Woolnough and Elford in the side was wrong. The former two have been in great form. Tia Kilifi especially.

don't mind if the dragons keep winning to make getting 2nd easier for us

To be honest, I don't think the top 2 will change.
Titans might somehow draw equal with you on points... I doubt it though, but your +/- is a stack better than theirs is.
Spots 1 & 2 are pretty much wrapped up, it's just a matter of whether or not you guys can catch us.

I hope the Dragons have an off game, because that's the only chance we'll have of beating them. They've been up for a long time so maybe an off game is due. We really need Luke Lewis back to compete with them.

If Soward ends up getting suspended this could be a real test for us. We haven't played without Soward all year from memory. Not to mention that week to week he's probably been our best. Getting back Cooper and Smith will help though.

While I've no doubt what soward did last week was deliberate it will be an absolute farce if he gets suspended.

And yes there is a legends curtain raiser Brandy, MG and Levy amongst others playing for the panthers not sure who's appearing for the dragons though, might try and dig that info up.

I don't understand why Soward was cited when he missed. If a swinging arm misses, does the player ever get cited? I think the answer to that is no. So why should Soward have a case to answer, he didn't hit either.

Soward was cited because of the intent. The NRL has come out and cracked down on people trying to dislodge the ball using their feet. Billy Slater towards the back end of last year brought it to the limelight and they're trying to stamp it out of the game.

He'll probably get off, but I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't either. It was intentional.

This game is the Panthers chance to prove they can give the competition a shake or will just firm what people believe in that they're just making up the numbers. No excuses.

He won't be suspended. He's a crowd favourite this season (among Dragons fans atleast) and at worst he will be penalised points that aren't enough to miss a game. Similar to Thurston in Origin.

I'd love to see him play. We can't beat the Dragons either way, but if we were somehow cause an upset it would be much better if it was at full strength.

Soward was cited because the "mens rea" was present apparently- the intent to hit GI, but GI also had intent to choke him, so they are equal. Neither was suspended though.

On this game, Dragons should win by 10-20pts.
