A better team???

You do realise Penrith are 5th on the ladder....there aren't many sides "better" than them left in the comp.

Saints weren't good last night and still easily handled what the current 5th best team in the comp could throw at us.

We were flat after the effort against Melbourne from last week. Nothing more to it.

thomo we where not that good either and will improve drastically on last night.Walsh got caught on last tackle option 5 times last night. The denied try to penrith was a try no doubt. The small ten meter hurt us more than the dragons as we play a flat style of game.Lewis and pritchard where good considering they both are short of match fitness

Poore will go for a couple of weeks but the depth shouldn't be a problem for Saints. No problem with the "controversial no try" ruling, seemed a clear Penrith knock on to me.

Pretty scrappy game in parts, Saints defence won it for them, they seemed blunter than usual in attack.

an unusual display of level headedness from a dogs fan ... you feeling ok?

the only reason we are in must win areas is because of the high injury toll we have had this year.If you had ten first graders out for several weeks you would not be on the top of the table but where we are.Penrith will bounce back now we are getting these guys back. The ponys next weeks target but again it is a must win game

f**k the Dragons have had a sh*t load of injuries this season, we just have awesome depth, stop making excuses.

How many games have Soward, Hornby, Boyd, Sailor, Young missed this year? Not too many I would imagine

Nice try , Sailor missed a couple, Boyd missed even more funny you only picked those 4 as pretty much every other player in our side as missed quite a few games each this year.

Saints have had some pretty decent injuries, Weyman, Smith, Nightingale to name a few, but their really big names have played most games from memory. Cooper's the only real big name to miss any substantial game time IIRC. The important thing is that they have the depth to cover, and they do.

Weyman, Poore, Smith, Creagh, Prior, Costigan, Paea, Saffy, Cooper, Sailor, Boyd, Nightingale, Priddis, Scott have all missed a few games some have missed a lot this season. And we have had a few out at once like 8 v Manly (rep games also) we had heaps out vs Panthers last game and for the last month or so we have had at least 4 out.

Weyman, Smith, Nightingale, Paea and Cooper have all been injured at some point in the last month (Weyman, Smith, Nightingale, Paea all together). Did we lose any momentum? During the third origin in fact Weyman, Poore and Paea were all missing. Thats arguably our top three prop forwards! And our team didnt miss a beat without those three players go forward.

Happy to get the win. Frustrating game to watch. Thought Panthers defence was pretty good. Hopefully Benny let them know that the effort they put forward wasn't to our usual standard. In any case we just looked tired. I thought Poore was a touch unlucky with his tackle. I think Elford's momentum played a large part in how he ended up. However I won't be screaming bloody murder if Poore is suspended.

Onto next week, looking forward to travelling down to Canberra with 150 crazy, loud and potentially drunk (I do not condone drinking on the bus :p) Saints supporters. We haven't won down there since 2000 if memory serves me correctly. Looking forward to smashing through another one of our bogey matches!

perhaps its you pawned if you are going to quote use the whole quote.i asked for names and games they where out.its easy to name a player out in round 1 and another round 2 but where they both out at the same time
.The players named would not all be in the top side if all players available so your point is useless

Check it fool. I did use the whole quote numb nuts. You wrote it, go look back. The 8 out against Manly (all in one game f**ker!) and they would all have been in the run on side. You have no excuse, Panthers beaten by Dragons. Nothing to do with players out. PWNED!
