The Bulldogs definitely look the more stronger of the two.
Obviously all champion clubs have off games but the Dragons were very ineffectinte against a Broncos outfit that while massively improved, wasn't without vunerabilities.

Dragons remind me of the Storm in 2006.

How so Shorty?

Good win by the Broncos and I'm very proud of their effort tonight.

Tough luck Dragons fans, your boys appear to be feeling the pinch and they really need to re-evaluate their position as front-runners. Hopefully they bounce back and treat us to a very competitive finals series.

To what?

The Broncos controlled the tempo pretty much the entire match, the Dragons are similar to Melbourne 06 in that they execute very well when the team is without challenges, when serious challenges arrive they're fairly rattled.
Broncos played better than earlier weeks, certainly not unbeatable to the comp leaders.

And they lack intensity, well as a general observation anyway.

Broncs employed the good old hard running hard tackling tactic...its amazing how effective that was....how good was Lockyers defense tonite? Run away creagh found his 'wide running' style is really worthless if your forwards are being smashed..

It's a pity that our (Brionco fans) member base at LU contains many of LU's biggest tools. We win a game, hold a team to zero and it's anarchy in the assylum. Tools (better examples in the NRL forum sadly).

Maybe so.. but I'd still prefer the majority of brisbane supporters on LU to the ones on our own forum.

In regards to Melbourne 06 being like St. George 09.

Personally speaking while there are similarities they differ in that Melbourne played more to it's backline while St. George depends on Soward and it's forward pack.

Seems to be that the Dragons are not handling the physical game that well and will need to adapt very quickly.

Cute backline moves by Soward will not cut it...

Just got home. Disappointing but gotta give the Broncos all the credit, they are back. We turned over too much ball and our last tackle options were terrible. Our defence held up for long periods and it was only a 10 point loss, but still far below our best. Its as if Bennett just let em do what they wanted tonight.

Dragons won't win the comp. Only 2 points scored against the Broncos. Broncos are a terribly hard team to judge, too much difference between their best and worst. I really hope they don't win the comp, don't deserve it. It would make a good case for a first past the post system. Why should teams like Eels and the Broncos be able to dog it for half the year and then hit their straps and give the comp a real shake. If that happened in the English Premier League soccer then a team like Tottenham Hotspurs might get a title, lol.

A top 5 is the solution - will never happen, the all important $$$ would be missed from the extra games the top 8 creates. I've said it before, I say it again: a top 8 rewards medicore teams that have no right to contend for the title.

A whole new thread though :D

Too good Broncos. The Broncos will win the comp, Man United will probably win the EPL again, as much as I don't like it, the clubs I despise keep winning. Maybe I could support the Broncos? I want to know what it feels like to never experience dark times.

P.S. I had to get that out. Seriously the Broncos played great tonight. I could've supported the Broncos back in 1988 like my dad started too, but I went against him and followed Penrith. I was hoping the Broncos might miss the 8 for once, but clearly that's not going to happen because 'no finals' is not part of their culture. So begrudgingly congrats.

Except we aren't in the top 4 because of injuries and Origin.. so how is that fair?
