hmmm

You know I think there's an argument that that Kemp/Gidley moment could've been a penalty try. We saw that Kemp picked up the ball cleanly, and without the interference he clearly had Gidley beaten for speed.

Fien

You know, with a bit of luck the Warriors could've won today. That's odd, because I thought we played like crap. Not a high quality game imo.

Imagine how cranky Skeepe would be if the Knights were playing the Raiders :sarcasm:

Try wasn't certain

Clear professional foul though- Gidley should have been binned

Consider this for the idea of consistency: Steve Lyons, the man who let Kurt Gidley stay on the field, is the same man who put David Milne in the bin.

One of the worst injury tolls in the comp (add McKinnon to that list), refs calls going in favour of the Knights, the bounce of the ball going in favour of the Knights, and they still only lost by 2 despite playing awful for the first 65 mins.

Certainly nothing to get too worried about. Really hoping McKinnon's injury isn't serious, Matulino had a strong first game back, and with some luck Hohaia, Price and vatuvei will all be back next week to bolster the line up.

Warriors were outplayed up front imo. Our backrow is just too pedestrian, and Packer and Rapira didn't play as well as last week. Matulino turned the tide a little when he came off the bench imo.

Our attack is horribly pedestrian and tbh apart from that last error which will stick in the memory I think Fien played quite well. Still not sold on the return of Jones.

Hard to say much about the backs because we just don't use the ball. Interesting to see Patrick Ah Van trying to get involved, coming to the middle of the field and playmaking in the last 15 minutes or so.

Not much positive to say I guess, the biggest positive is we nearly had a good win away from home despite all that.

Wonder if the ferals in the crowd will decide to bash opposition supporters like last week?

In what way?

As we saw, Kemp caught the ball and got pulled down about 6 or 7 metres short. It was pretty obvious that if Gidley hadn't interfered with him, Kemp would've run away from Gidley before he got to the ball. There was no doubt Kemp was going to beat Gidley to the line. I suppose you could argue that if it wasn't for the obstruction, Kemp would've got to the ball earlier, it might've been bouncing differently, and therefore he might've dropped it?

I thought Packer and Rapira were solid- particularly Packer

Fien played pretty well.

Jones played crap

Can't believe Kurt Gidley wasn't sin binned. Disgraceful piece of refereeing. You have David Milne and Jeremy Smith sent to the sin bin for non-events, and yet Kurt Gidley in this game, and David Kidwell in the Souths-Warriors game both remain on the field for blatant professional fouls. Is there a lottery agent near Energy Australia Stadium?? Kurt should get down there, pronto. Don't let this vain of unbelievably good luck go without cashing in IMO.
