Newcastle halfback Jarrod Mullen may play against Brisbane tomorrow night at EnergyAustralia Stadium, despite his shoulder troubles. Coach Brian Smith refused to rule his key playmaker out, especially with five-eighth Ben Rogers in doubt with a knee problem. Junior Sau is troubled slightly by a sternum problem but he should play. Smith is expected to switch James McManus to the right wing so he can mark Israel Folau, believing him to be a better option than Akuila Uate who, along with Steve Simpson, is still feeling the effects of a hamstring injury. The Broncos are expected to be as named.

Knights half Jarrod Mullen (shoulder) trained yesterday and could return, despite failing to finish last weekend. Coach Brian Smith says surgery awaits Mullen at season’s end. Steve Simpson and Akuila Uate (hamstrings) return, but Ben Rogers (knee) is doubtful. The Broncos are 1-17.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Knights won, they did after all beat the high flying Dragons and at home they are tough to beat. But with this being Locky's 300th and the Broncos have the wood over the Knights I will go with them just.

Us by 4. Very worried at the possible inclusion of Mullen, though.

The Knights and Bulldogs have both been performing really bloody well this year. All the hype has surrounded our boys, the Titans and Dragons... but jeez I wouldn't be surprised to see this mob well and truly in with a shot come September. Gelling really well as a unit and are as good as any in the comp IMO. Hoping for a cracking game.

I think injuries will cruel Newcastle. Big question over their conditioning practices IMO.

Jarrod Mullen is one tough kid, he played busted nearly all last week and was Newcastles best.

I can't believe he is even considered to play this week. If he plays well i wouldn't mind him as a bolter for NSW. Gives his all.

7:30pm if you have viewers choice.

Match details are set to change - Brisbane U20's flight down has been delayed and the Toyota Cup match may not be played until 9:30pm.

Looks like the game got underway at a stroke before 6pm...definitely can see the start of first grade getting delayed as a result. Maybe by at least 20-30 mins?
