Newcastle leading.

They're playing well the Knights but they've been gifted with some very generous penalties.

I'm sick of Junior.

Newcastle are running away with this. Congrats to them, they are playing pretty well.

I had to turn it off. That commentator's bias for Newcastle (I think it is Wayne Pearce?) is sickening.

Knew it the Knights would get up while the Broncos would put in one of those off games.

What bias? They're playing fantastic football. What else do you want him to say about it?

26-6 Newcastle. Game over? It certainly looks like it. Our defensive technique has been shown up once again. I don't know when we're going to fix up the way we tackle, but it seems every year we're among the worst in the comp for missed tackles.

Sucky way for Locky to celebrate his 300th game, but Newcastle have played very well.

Well done Knights. Certainly deserved the two points.

Broncos were off tonight, the mid-week flu took the sting out of their attack somewhat and they didn't play to the conditions.

As for the commentators...there's a point where you're applauding a side and sucking them off. Braybrook has always been horrible, I recall he was going off big time when the Broncos recorded their 71-6 victory over the Knights in 07. While Junior doesn't have a clue period. He was getting crook at Sammy for allowing Mullen to score while it seemed obvious it was McCulloughs miss tackle that made all the difference.

Well done to Darren Lockyer for coming out and accepting the game ball after copping a flogging.
All class.;-)

Uate had one of his 'ON" games, was great to see though.

You couldn't say a bad word about a Knights player tonight. They played to their ability and definately deserved the two points. Certainly not going to put a red-line through my teams chances though.

Would like to give De Gois a big shout out tonight. Smith identified one of the Broncos weaknesses and De Gois was relentless in how he addressed it. IMO he was the catalyst for Newcastle tonight. Once he started hassling the Broncos, the likes of Mullen, Gidley and Dureau were able to come to their own.

With that said, the Broncos defence was attrocious. I hope Peter Ryan, the defence coach, gets out the sprinkler and has the Broncos tackle one another in wet conditions. That try to Mullen in particular was beyond embarrassing for them.

Once again, congratulations Knights.

Very happy with the result.

f**k that thunder was loud when the lights went out

I'd also like to thank Jesus that my seats are just out of the rain (literally, the people in front of us got wet).

Had a "fun" night tonight, despite the result. That weather was insane, but everyone was having a good giggle about it. Pity we couldn't get the game abandoned at half time, lol.

Well played Knights, great performance.

Bit late here, but wasn't online yesterday so here goes.

I guess firstly I have to give a HUGE thumbs up to the Newcastle crowd. Some people give you guys a pasting for being feral/parochial or whatever you want to call it, but the respect shown to Darren Lockyer when he ran out for his 300th was something very, very special. I've NEVER seen anything like it, and I have to unfortunately say that there's no way the same respect would have been afforded to the likes of Buderus and Joey from a Brisbane crowd. It gave me goosebumps for sure. Amazing sportsmanship from the Knights players and fans alike.

The game itself, well there's not much to say there. Completely outclassed and out-enthused by a very strong and determined looking Knights team. Of course we were disappointing and really didn't knuckle down, but the Knights didn't give us an inch. I commented earlier in this thread that Newcastle are really flying under the radar this year, and I don't think that will continue for much longer. f**king classy football team which works damn well as a unit.

Congrats Knight. As for our boys - hopefully we bounce back against Manly this Sunday!
