Even though i do want Ennis to get the blues jersey, i feel for Farah. The guy had to go through the whole charade of sitting behind Buderus when he was by far the better hooker. I wouldn't begrudge him a origin spot.

:? Where did I say anything about the Tigers? It should have been a try if the person was a blue, orange, red, violet, purple polka-dotted jersey. A ridiculous mutation of the obstruction rule.

 So the opposition hooker outplayed the man of the match?

In reality you couldn't split the pair. They were both sensational, especially with Farah having to take on a halfback role in Benji's absence.

yes that's what he's saying

what happened to the days when a player from the losing team had a chance of getting M.O.M

Farah outplayed Ennis, Kimmorley outplayed both. If we had of won (say El Masri's last conversion missed and Gallant's went over), Farah would have got MOM. That said, there was not a lot between them at all. City Country will be even more important now.

people let me tell you how it is.

Firstly, the obstruction call was correct. Ryan got in the attacking line without getting the ball, stopped a player making a tackle on the player with the ball, and the Bulldogs scored because of it.

Secondly, Farah will be selected as NSW hooker, because he plays higher percentages than Ennis. You just have to look at Ennis's last kick of the game to understand why. From 50 metres out with a minute to go any hooker in the game would have drilled it for the sideline and made sure it went out about 20-30 m from the line. Instead Ennis chips it over the winger, and it finds touch about 5-10m out. An absolutely brilliant kick, but not a high percentage play in the circumstances. Ennis will sometimes bite off more than he can chew, and that kind of thing can cost you a State of Origin. The selectors are on top of these small nuances, and that's why Farah will get selected and Ennis won't.

Thirdly, the Bulldogs did just enough to win today. The tigers probably were the better team, but that's because they were trying harder. If the Tigers got to any sort of lead in the game, I would have backed the Dogs to still do just enough to win the game. That's the sort of team they are this year. That's why there's so many people saying they can only beat bottom teams. These people don't see that the Dogs are just playing within themselves.

Don't forget he also abided by the BS call by the ARL that if he played for Lebanon in the RLWC qualifiers he would be ineligible for NSW and Australia. That pretty much sunk Lebanon's and Farah's chance of competing in the World Cup.

He showed loyalty. Hopefully they don't forget that.

Andrew Ryan had his elbow on issac, Issac pushed him away.

Ryan then decided to punch him in the face when he was defenseless on the ground

lol I can't believe there are dickheads still going on about that. Luke felt it necessary to punch someone who was ontop of him and got what was coming to him. End of story.

the best match of the rounds are on sunday. i tip two upsets. warriors to play some footy and beat the broken play dragons, whilst the tigers to show the dogs can only beat bottom 8 teams.

and that we did, beat a bottom 8 team today

I'm willing to say that we were the better team in a losing effort.

Credit to the dogs where it's due, they played well.

Still, it sh*ts me that the dogs won purely on goal kicking and not actual play since it was 4 tries a piece.

Positives taken out and such and on Ennis v Farah, I'll say that Farah won the battle but Ennis won the war.

Since it was one game, how does that work? lol

Pretty surprised Ennis got man of the match. Not to say he wasn't outstanding, but Farah was in absolutely everything. Set up three (would have been four if Hanbury had looked to his inside) tries, topped the tackle count for the match, earned countless repeat sets and was just in everything in general.

Anyway fantastic match, pretty gutting one to lose.

Add Marshall in and I reckon we would have got the dogs.

Remove Roberts from our team and suddenly we don't f**k up 20 times and win by 20

Roberts went back to 08 form today, played too many percentages and probably cost us a truckload of possession and field position.

Agreed. Whilst Ellis did tackle the decoy player, the decoy got directly inbetween Ellis and Roberts giving Ellis no chance of getting to the man with the ball. Mind you, if Ellis played the whistle and didn't wave his arms around, he would've put Goodwin over the sideline.

great game of footy. i didnt make it to the game but it felt like a semi final type game/atmosphere on the tv.

i thought the tigers were the better team and unlucky to lose. was stoked with the effort actually. if lawrence stayed on, we probably win as he would have either scored off the farah grubber or passed to galea on the inside who scores. no idea what hanbury was doing.

still it was 4 tries all, they scored 3 tries off kicks, marshall was out, lawrence and heighington went off injured and morris was halfback.

i thought farah outplayed ennis quiet easily. i have no doubts if the dogs were missing kimmorely we would have won by some margain. ennis wouldnt have been able to keep the dogs in the game with no halfback like farah did for us. three brilliant try assists (should have been 4 if hanbury could catch and pass) and great deft kicking.

on the ellis ruling, it was correct. i dont agree with it however it was correct. theres no doubt at all that if ryan didnt impede ellis he would have shut down the offload therefore shutting down the raid. personally i dont think ryan should have to get out of ellis's way as he didnt change his line, however they are the rules.

Wrong thread. You are obviously talking about last weeks game.

BTW at least 3 of the Tigers tries came directly from Bulldogs unforced errors.

As opposed as the Dogs getting into good field position on the back of Ennis.

tigers did outplay us, but we always looked like we could up the ante if we had to. I always thought we were going to win the game.

I thought the Tigers were the better team. If they had a goalkicker they would of won.

Farah had a better game than Ennis. Both look like they'd do the job in Origin if called upon though.

Good effort by the Tigers. After Marshall got ruled out I thought 13+ for sure. Then again, I don't think the Dogs are all that either.

What a brilliant game - both teams were outstanding and gave us an excellent display to savour. It's games like this that make me watch Rugby League.

The Tigers were fantastic. They were always going to be up against it with their injuries and whilst I felt that the Dogs were always going to get the result - the Tigers ensured that they were never comfortable.

Farah won the battle of the hookers by my way of thinking - but Ennis was not far behind him at all. I still believe that BOTH these players should feature in Origin with Farah being the bench player that will come on a wreak havoc later in the game.

If only every game of rugby league was half as good as this one. Well done BOTH teams. It's a pity either of you had to lose. Maybe the NRL could donate the 2 points they stole off the Dogs to the Tigers for such a valliant effort :p
