can someone please explain the term "illasox" and why anybody thinks its funny or witty or clever? i just don't get it

It's not funny or witty.
It was other teams supporters way of trying to get us upset when we merged.

I didn't particularly intend it as an insult tbh, quickest and shortest word I could think of that related to the Illawarra side given it's the red jersey they're wearing.

And yes, the steelers definitely wore predominantly red jerseys during their time  Like Saints, red and white were their primary colours.

The Dragons had the bye last week and teams coming off the bye rarely fare well.

I'm tipping the Warriors because the Dragons players will have forgotten how to do things like catch the ball and run in the right direction after last weeks holiday in the sun at the SFS.

The only hope the Dragons have is if the Warriors cant crack their defence. The Dragons will come back late in the game - but if the Warriors have stuck to their game plan of actually scoring tries instead of falling over their own feet - they should be too far ahead for the Dragons to catch them.

Dragons by 2 in golden point.

I reckon this will be a physical low scoring game should be a beauty.

I reckon the Warriors might get the bickies this week. That was a good effort V the Storm and theyve slowly gotten thier best team on the park after having different players missing at various stages.

Warriors fullback Wade McKinnon will return from a hamstring injury against the Dragons on Sunday, while utility Lance Hohaia, named at 18, will play. Mathew Head is expected to drop off the St George Illawarra five-man bench.

The Dragons and Warriors have no injury concerns. Matty Head will drop off the bench for the Dragons. The Warriors welcome back fullback Wade McKinnon. Jesse Royal replaces Sam Rapira (chest) up front while coach Ivan Cleary is expected to travel with a 19-man squad.
