One thing's for sure, I'm not looking forward to Manly v Penrith.

Penrith only score from kicks, and our back 3 have a phobia of even attempting to take bombs. We'll get rolled by 40, with 7 tries from kicks.

 complaining about a 15 point victory

How does being unhappy with sh*t refereeing equate to being unhappy with a victory? Don't give me sh*t about a skinny 10 for Penrith, the Dogs got more than enough benefit from it.

Pretty happy with the win. Gordon was awesome, how he didn't get 3 points for Dally M I don't know. He was stunning in defense, scored 1 off his own back and supported the play well for his third. We let in a couple of soft tries, but for the most part our defense was savage.

Talk about us getting lucky on kicks is geniused too. It may not be the most impressive way of scoring, but Walsh is kicking well and we're jumping higher and harder than every one else and we deserve credit for it. It's been happening for long enough for it to not be a fluke.

When you earn field position, you put yourself in the position to put in attacking kicks.

You cannot score from offensive kicks if you don't do the hard yards up front.

The Panthers get inside the opposition offensive zone from good go forward and put ourselves in the position to take advantage from kicks.

It is not just about the bombs or grubbers it is about putting yourself in a position to benefit from good offensive kicks.

There's nothing wrong with scoring tries from kicks. Also 'luck' doesn't come into it because it keeps happening week after week, we clearly have a real determination right across the team on the kick chase. I'll gladly take us scoring tries from kicks for the rest of the season. As long as we keep winning this isn't a problem. If we start losing, then we worry. I just want Penrith to make an impact this season. I'm not expecting them to win the comp but will gladly accept an overachieving season regardless of how the tries are scored.

Burns, I stand corrected. Either way, whinging Penrith f**kwit.

LOL bitter much?

You won the Penalty count idiot, and you were laying all over the tackled player the whole game. Your 10 metres was freakin pathetic. Being at the game...which I doubt you were...there was no way our 10 was skinnier than yours.

Whinging Bulldog f**kwit.

I was talking about Burns, not any fan on here, but thanks for being an abusive merkin anyway.

 @ our ten being short and us laying all over you. Your PTB and linespeed was clearly faster than ours but it wasn't helped by the refereeing.

You won 31-16, stop being a f**kwit.

Penalty count was a bit ridiculous but I remember participating in a thread not long ago about how it was bullsh*t that refs tried to even up penalties. Can't have it both ways. Bulldogs probably deserved more and we got the rough end of the stick on a few occasions but if the ref called it as he saw it then I'm ok with it, I guess.

Not our best game, not the best refereeing, but it was a decent enough win.

And Barba is definitely over rated. Media loves to talk up him and Idris, not to mention a few others, but the Bulldog's ladder position speaks volumes.

Barba occasionally pulls some great stuff. Reminds me of a less annoying and more consistent Sammut. Not ready for 80 minute games yet. Give him time to develop though and don't suffocate him with media attention and he'll turn out pretty damn excellent methinks.

The Bulldogs ladder position is a result of inconsistency in a number of different positions, we haven't had the same lineup for two consecutive weeks all year if I recall correctly, whenever a player returns from injury or Origin another one goes... it's been a tough year and we've had to rely on our admittedly shallow depth. I think our game vs Melbourne next week will give us a better indication.

Good solid win by the Panthers. Felt a bit hard done by a few times with the referee ruling a bullsh*t line dropout against us at one point, and failing to award one to us at another. The penalty count was also ridiculous..there's no way that the Doggies only deserved to be penalised once in that 80 minutes.

You do know that the Panthers scored in the same set your player walked 3m off the mark.

Dogs shot themselves in the foot. We made a hell of a lot of line breaks and had plenty of try scoring opportunities. Our execution was rubbish.

We are rubbish and heartless this year.

Maybe go to a game and support your team and you may have some credibility.

The refereeing only served to keep the scoreline close.

I was at the game, with a fairly good vantage point on the half way line and the Bulldogs got a fairly good rub of the green from the on field officials.

One penalty in 80 minutes at home pretty sums up the Panthers fortunes with the referees. Do your homework and check the official statistics in terms of penalties for and against and you will see we dont fare that well. No other side in the competition consistently loses the penalty count at home the way the Panthers do. Maybe we deserve it, but 9 times out of every 10 games over many seasons I just dont know. It must be a fan thing, either we dont have enought or they simply dont winge enough by making enough noise to cry our for a penalty but something is seriously wrong in terms of our for and against in the penalty department.

the win was vital for us as origin killed our chances last year with injuries out of it and losing the games during that period.I dont care if its a 2nd gear win or 1st its still a win.And a step closer to semi finals a place we have not been for a while

The Bulldogs forwards just have absolutely nothing. Who are they missing? Hannant? Aside him the others out are worthless anyhow.

They got absolutely dominated by a forward pack missing their three best. Given Hannant will be gone at the end of the year they really need to hit the market for some muscle.

Aiden Tolman is a great foundation to build on.

I've always seen Tolman has a low impact, high workrate kinda guy. They need someone who's going to make metres badly.

With Hannant gone they're in real strife up front next year if they don't pick someone up. He's the only guy other teams look at reading the team sheet and worry.

Wow. A whole 3 metres? That's a very minor advantage that has very little impact on whether or not we score.

Considering the Andrew Ryan try came off the back of the Bulldogs being tackled in goal and NOT having to take a line drop out, and that was topped off with a penalty to get you down the other end of the field. At a time when the Doggies shouldn't have even had the ball, the referee basically gave them 100m for free to score. This was a massive advantage and basically 6 points gifted.

Then not long later Shane Elford makes it out of goal in a superb effort only for the referee to ignore that and force us to take the drop out. Again depriving the Panthers of possession when they should have had it. A pretty big decision against us... especially after the Doggies freebie earlier.

Then we only manage to receive 1 penalty in 80 minutes of football despite it being our home game. He could have atleast tried to make it look fair.
