Thanks to the salary cap it's become a very even comp; this weekend has shown how even it is.

You quite clearly are, no matter how much you deny it.

The Raiders will be shown up in a fortnight I imagine - the Titans will probably beat them and they'll be back to square one.

I think the Dragons did well missing the players they had at Origin duty or injured, a disrupted preparation - the Raiders played some great footy, no doubt - but they wouldn't have had the space to do so with the Dragons regular lineup.

Good on Canberra, but STFU glory-riders.

The fact is just there Timmo Credit where it is due with the raiders.. They can only play the team that is infront of them and they will do it again when they play the titans..

I am more confident of them winning the next one then the eels are next friday against the dragons.. (even with the 17 that played the raiders today)

The Dragons were paying $1.65

They should've won at home. As far as I can tell they had 13 on the field at all times, and after taking the lead right after half time they should definitely have carried on with it.

Milne and Carney have been playing since Round 8 for SL.

I don't know how many more matches they have to play to be 'match fit'.

Not that Milne would come into the side, he's a fringe fullback if anything.

Carney was at least a little bit overweight when he first returned. I haven't seen him on the field for a bit yet but he was still a few weeks off match fitness. I don't KNOW if he would make the side perhaps maybe as a bench player. I think he is a better centre than a winger and Thompson has just about been Canberra's best player this year and Croker is a better centre IMO.

I rate Vidot (LEARN TO CATCH THOUGH) and Monas as better wingers.

Maybe Thompson could be moved into the back row ??

It is more the talent from the forwards that we have lost that would be the "issue" TLL is our best forward on his day, Shillington has been our best prop this year by miles, Fensom has been really, really good and we do not have NEAR the talent to replace them with as the Dragons would. There is no doubt the Dragons had more quality players out though. Just the players the Raiders had out are as important.

A few years ago the Raiders came close to having to get salary cap dispensation because we had that many injuries. That was in 2008 when we went charging into the finals. The wheels fell off in many ways because we just run out of troops. It would have been cheap to have been calling us the Canberra Raiders reserve grade side when the Sharks beat us in the finals.
