I was going to read the thread but after I randomly selected a page I thought better of it...

I thought our young blokes put up a good fight. For about 75 minutes the game was fairly even, but I thought Campese stood up when needed and guided the Raiders home. The game itself was I guess surprisingly entertaining, given both sides were missing so many players, perhaps that's why it was as described. Well done Canberra, a deserved win. Look forward to getting down there later in the year.

The dragons had a few players on debut but they had a vastly more experienced playmakers. Oh noes the outside backs were inexperienced well outside of Monas the Raiders most experienced outside back is Croker who has played 30 matches. (note those figures might be one game out because Troy Thompson hadn't been updated to 150 matches yet)

You can't say it was even when 1 side had 8 rep players out and the other had 2! It's plain and simple!

I can't understand why morons in here can't just say they beat a depleted side and got the 2 points. Just don't take too much out of it and move on to the next game. That is what I have done when the Dragons have played depleted sides in the past and I'm sure will again in the future.

It's not hilarious, it's fact. We wouldve most likely won or gone close to yesterday with even a close to full squad, or even 4 players off the bench.
Quit bragging, you're only as good as your last game & the sensation never lasts too long. Be glad to get the 2 & move on.

Exactly you dope! That's my point when you beat a seriously depleted team you don't go on about it, you take the points and move on. By the way players being out mainly due to rep footy has happened for a lot longer than 2008 :lol:. That's the stupid thing about our code we have rep games in the middle of our season and expect teams to play games without a whole heap of stars, no other sport is dumb enough to do this it messes with the integrity of the comp.
