Souths fans should feel very hard done by in the set that led up to the Roosters final try. I was happy that the refs let the first sh*t play the ball go but was absolutely stunned when they let two go in succession and then penalised Souths the following play :crazy:

I don't support either side, but this game was decided by a penalty, and an extremely nit-picking one at that. The player running back onside lost balance. Ref could and should have just played on.

It was a f**king disgrace. The R***ters should not have finished the game with 13 players, it's that simple. They should never have had the penalty that led to the final try. Of the three tries attributed to them, 2 were the direct result of disgraceful refereeing.

The wrong team won, and Robert Finch is directly responsible. His incompetence is ruining the NRL and deciding matches, and it's a f**king disgrace.

I'm still in disbelief that Ryles wasn't even penalised for that vicious, calculated, deliberate knee to Merritt's head. That's unforgiveable.

Ryles will miss quite a few weeks I would think.

I hate it when this happens but the refs were wearing bunnies jerseys for most of the game with some dodgy calls, only to call them in favour to the Roosters trying to 'balance' it out. It happens so much that it just depends whether your team is on the end of it.

Oh well, a win's a win, especially over them.

Play the balls shouldn't have to be pretty, there was no penalty in those. I'd like to see if the knee actually made contact, it looked like it did but the way Merritt didn't react calls it into question.
