Yeah I thought Ben Roberts blew it. Definitely should of went for the FG. They were lucky to get a drop out.
Anyway, let's not forget Luke Lewis staying alive and pushing up too.

Of course we want to see them do well in the finals, but check the betting odds and tipsters, few people take Penrith seriously and we are not getting our hopes up like other supporters, like the Dragons fans are. You are kidding if you think the Dragons aren't the favourites in all the betting markets.

Yes if they don't win it, they are chokers. Since they dominate the last two comps but can't seem to win when it matters and since they haven't won for 31 years despite having ample opportunity.

Show us where the Dragons fans are getting their hopes up, the majority have stated all year they don't know what is going to happen.

In Penrith's existence Saints have won 2 premierships, the same as Penrith. What ample opportunity have we had? We've had the same chance as all other sides who started each season.
I'm pretty sure we didn't "dominate" last year at all.
I'm quite certain we were running 2nd going into the final round of last year, that's hardly dominating the comp.

Hahaha skeepe had money on the dogs. I don't know what's with all the panther hate. We haven't seen the finals in years and apparently even though the ladder says we deserve to be there noone believes it. Relax, wankers. Stop deathriding us on our first sniff in years.

Don't expect to perform spectacularly once we get there but its great to finally make it again. Everyone who is upset about it is a jerk.

correct me if im wrong but didnt parra get 6k to the grand final replay when there was 82k there last time with many of the fans paying $200+ a ticket to watch it. Parra fans are the last ones who can talk about a bandwagon. We got a good crowd for a monday night. Wonder how much eels will get to cayless' farewell game...

what a disgusting turnout for 2 champion players....

Canterbury = the new bandwagon kings.

Bulldogs home crowd average 2010: 18,709 - highest in NSW and second in the NRL. Not bad for a team running 13th.

Can I just say Penrith were massively gifted the penultimate try in the match - the Waterhouse try where Tighe knocked it forward was offside and should've been a 'Dogs penalty... cannot believe Lyons didn't go upstairs... joke.

it went both ways early in the game waterhouse clearly stripped in a 3 man tackle no penalty you score not long after.Simple fact Roberts blew it if he worked the ball to posts you get a field goal and win

You'll have to lift for Cronulla next week IMO, you were quite lucky to get home tonight.

Dunno how people can claim the referees helped the Panthers home when they were only 16 points down because of them aswell. There's no doubt they made some shocking decisions, but they went both ways and like usual the scoreline seemed to change along with their decisions.

The Panthers first few penalties weren't much help either. We had a chain of penalties with only the first one being any good, the rest came first tackle of a fresh set and really didn't help. Would have much rathered them split up at the back ends of the set to help apply pressure.

The Bulldogs were better for the bulk of the game, but they had a massive advantage in the last 13 minutes and couldn't come up with a match winning play. Panthers with only 12 men and no halfback managed that.

The overall game calls were fairly even IMO. I think people are just saying with Burn's charge down he was offside, and Tighe's Try there was a knock on.

It's an undeniable fact that De Las Heras gifted Penrith 6 points, and Penrith won by 6 points. Therefore it follows that De Las Heras is the sole reason Penrith won.

Your unstated premise is that there is nothing aside from that decision that had any bearing whatsoever on the outcome of the game (the words "sole reason" in your conclusion imply this unstated premise). Unfortunately for you, this premise is a load of bullsh*t, meaning your conlusion is as well.

The simple fact is poor decisions don't decide games. They can certainly help one team or the other, but except in the rare instance where the decision is on the final play of a close game (ala Saints-Dogs last year), it cannot be said with any justification that a referee is soley responsible for the outcome of any game.
