I just re-watched the match frame by frame, and I have concluded that it was an 18 point drubbing....

Not saying Saints would have won the game, but they got that call badly wrong at a crucial time....the better side on the night won.

You can admit it was a try if you take the time to re-look at it.

I thought it was a try in normal motion anyway.

Not too sure about this Farrar incident though.... didn't the ref check the grounding in the video replay?

Yep, I'll pay that.

It's a good thing I didn't bother holding my breath waiting for the much vaunted, "Dragon's lethal left edge" to do anything!!

Oh.... and as long as we're talking about Farrar, wasn't "Sowie" supposed to make his life hell with bombs all night.

I guess without his bodyguard around he retreats back into his shell too much, to be all that productive or effective.

No they only looked for obstruction I think...but the FOX replays showed he didnt ground it...but the ref didnt ask the VR to look at that.
Manly were by far the better team....but I reckon if you wanted to apply the rule book to the leter of the law thatd be no try

With all the important, frame by frame work happening around the place tonight..... I took another look at this one. He gets it down as flush as can be, I don't know what the hell you're on about.

Not really much to say about the game that hasn't been said, but f**k me how fat is Costigan? He looks like he's doubled in size!

Anasta seems to be named to play for the roosters and yet was ruled out its just another crap story from the tele and some people are too stupid to question the trash they print

First of all, game is 3 days later.

second, he was ruled out by the city medical staff themselves. Cooper was ruled out by saints staff

third, Anasta does not have a track record of skipping CvC on a regular basis

I can't be buggered 'quoting' some of the usual suspects but to Parra supporters carrying on like good sorts......well each to their own but in my day unless you could get one over your opponent when YOU actually played them, you didn't say much until you had a second dig at them yourself. Acting superior because somebody 'else' beat us is weak, soft and quite frankly a reflection of the way our society has dropped the ball in the last decade or so.

Is it worth pointing out none of us were out there on the field tonight?

Do any of us deserve bragging rights when our team wins? Sports fanaticism has always been all about providing justification for deadsh*ts to vicariously behave like wankers.

Footy's as much about the teams you hate as the ones you love. I don't even follow an EPL team - I just watch whenever Chelsea, Man U or Arsenal play because I want to see them lose.

Who decides what the rules are for watching other people play sport and then gobbing off about it?

And clearly Braith Anasta is the most useless, overrated piece of sh*te to pull on a jersey in the last 10 years, but I digress...

Congrats to Manly. I didn't see the game (being at work until midnight), but from the text updates on my phone sounded like they were clearly the better team. I'll think about watching the game tomorrow.

As for all the f**kwits writing Saints off... well, as someone else said, if we win, we're May premiers, if we lose, we're sh*t. And for the other f**kwits labelling us whingers for pointing out dodgy decisions when we lose, apparently that right is only extended to fans of the other 15 teams, because that sh*t is there in every single game thread every week. Fans of the losing team bitch about the ref. I challenge anyone to point out a game thread where this wasn't the case (I'll give you a head start - don't bother checking the Canberra threads).

Look forward to meeting again when we have 6 or 7 players back in the side.
As I said before the game kicked off, I'd rather have blokes in my side backing up than not being on the field at all.

Manlythat.

that's a pretty poor excuse mate. It's very very rare fora team to ever field there full 17. It's impossible to say 'we'll be right when so and so cone back' because who is to say te week before they are due back you won't lose 3 other players to injury? For all you know this could be saints most full strength team for the rest of the year!

Teams have a squad for a reason. Injuries will always play a huge part in the premiership.

Look at the tigers for example, won 4 of 5 with 4 or 5 of the full 17 on the sidlines, I was thinking icant wait until we get payten, Galloway, tuiaki etc back. Then moltzen does his knee the week before payten and Galloway come back. You just don't know mate, you can only count on the 17 that go out every week turning up, no matter who they are.

We've had the guy who's been regarded as the best player in our side for about 4 seasons on the sidelines for most of the last two seasons. The only guy who consistently challenged Billy Slater for the mantle of games premier fullback. We seem to cope...
