I know! But the commentators who are next to the video ref box have suggested that the video ref thought it hit the ground first and it hit his boot after, implying it was a drop goal attempt, that's what the commentators have said. Either way i don't agree.

The commentators were talking shit, especially Gould. Rabbits tried to talk some sense into him but Gus was sticking to his drop goal theory. He had no way of knowing what the video ref was thinking.
