Not sure what all the Broncos fans were complaining about. Penalty count is 7-6
Have a good look at the first try (sideways play the ball). That came on the back of 2 penalties. Also in the first half Broncos were penalised for 3 markers when in fact they only had 2. Thiaday was penalised for not getting to his feet when in fact he did.
Manly were favoured.

Bad luck Brisbane, was obvious who the NRL wanted in the grand final when Manly got 2 penalties in a row with their first possession.

A cruel end to Locky's career. The last true champion Bronco is gone.... let the slide begin

Congratulations to the Broncos on a great season - I think you've unearthed a gem of a coach.

Congratulations to Lockyer on a brilliant career - its a shame to see him go out that way.

Enjoy the offseason!

locky or not, manly had the advantage of the break, they were fresh the entire game.

typical finals refs, giving one team the advantage for the first half then trying to even it out in the 2nd.

catai and williams will be gorn for the GF, if manly face the scum, the scum will win.

REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY hoping the warriors win tomorrow, the whole country will be on your side lol.

Meh, better team won in the end.

Shaping up to be a Storm vs Manly GF again as everyone had hoped :sarcasm:

Unless of course Warriors can pull off an upset.

Bronocs have had a charmed run with the officials throughout the finals series and in fact the year. It had to come to an end sometime. Perhaps if Brisbane elected to tackle rather than stand stunned at the fact they weren't leading the tackle count Manly wouldn't have scored the first, second and third time they attacked Brisbane's line.

Hopefully the Warriors will save us from another tedious Manly-Melbourne Grand Final.

Go the Warriors!!!

Rubbish
They were both fair penalties

If they were fair you could have been blowing penalties all night.

They were cheap and gave Manly opportunities they didn't deserve.

With that said though, they all but one of their dead-set opportunities and that was when they were on-top. Brisbane gave up at least two which should have been scored.

Good boy.

Does everyone (apart from Storm fans) really want us to win? The hate factor will be sky-high for a Melb/Manly GF, and we know hate sells papers/pulls viewers etc.

I would love to see the Warriors win tomorrow and as much as i want the Eagles to win.. Would rather loose to the warriors than the cheats...

The guy couldn't get in a plane, let alone get on a footy field with some of the biggest humans known to sport. He made the right decision, his team just didn't perform.

Brett Kimmorley was interviewed earlier in the week and said that after his broken cheek bone the only reason he couldn't play the next week was due to bleeding on his eye as a complication of the surgery. Lockyer didn't have this (you'd be able to see it quite clearly).

Once the plates are in the chances of them getting damaged and hurting you are no worse than getting your other cheek broken and having those pieces of bone hurt you.

Lockyer no doubt wanted to play tonight, but was told he couldn't by a doctor. He'll now never play another game of footy for the broncos in his life, but on the plus side his cheek will be better a week or 2 earlier than if he had played and it had got reinjured.... fair trade off :sarcasm:
