you are arguing with one of your own fans........
yes, and charlie 124...

I give us a great chance in this game, our forward pack is stronger than thiers and our backs really havent changed at all from the last couple of games, Cooper has been solid filling the gap left by Tonga. Obviously the halves will be the weakest link and its obviously a very important part of the lineup, but im confident that if our pack can shut their halves down and get our boys on the front foot the backs can do the job. Manly are in good form, but they aint invincible.

8. Jason King = Ashton Sims
9. Matt Ballin >> Aaron Payne
10. George Rose < James Tamou
11. Tony Williams <<<<<< Tariq Sims
12. Joe Galuvao << Glenn Hall
13. Glenn Stewart < Dallas Johnson

14. Vic Mauro < James Segeyaro
15. Jamie Buhrer > Ben Jones
16. Tim Robinson <<<<< Scott Bolton
17. Darcy Lussick <<< Leeson Ah Mau

Our only problem will be the halves, but thats not a small problem. Manlys halves are on fire at the moment and certainly a class above ours, will that be the difference? could be. But i stand by my statement that our forwards are definitely better and our backs will hold their own.

Galuvao and Johnson are a wash against there match ups. Galuvao is playing his best football of his career and Glenn Stewart contributes greatly to the team in attack and defense, Johnson only so in defense.

It's not just an individual comparison that makes our forward pack better, if only slightly.

The NQ forward pack is working together as a unit very well. The workload is shared very evenly and no one is skiving the tough stuff. Couple this fact with the extra work Winters, Graham and KFFL have been offering the big fellas and NQ have an advantage in the forward department.

Manly are a side I have an enormous respect for. Correction, Des Hasler is a coach I have enormous respect for and his footy side reflects his footy smarts and disciplined approach. They have a genuine toughness and at times really push the boundaries in the ruck. Even their five-eighth is a rugged little bugger who gets in and gets his hands dirty. In short, they give you nothing.

Yet I fancy North Queensland because I feel we have the adequate game to combat this. NQ are one of the few who can beat Manly at their own game. One need only look to our last clash in which we out-muscled the Manly pack who in that game had their forward leader Watmough.

I've no idea how we're going to score points in this game without Thurston. But that's of less concern to me than the battle of the forwards. Succeed there and the points will flow. I'm tipping NQ to do that and win by 6.

The forwards are fairly matched this weekend imo. But Johnson over Stewart? Johnson is a great defender but he has about as much attacking ability as, well I cant think of anyone that ordinary in terms of attack. If I had to name a Manly player of similar attacking ability it would be Luke Williamson.

Dallas Johnson isn't there for his attacking prowess......... Just like George Rose isn't there for his good looks...............

Stewart > Johnson, he is a massive part of Manly's attacking structure and does a lot of work otherwise.

Having seen the Eagles play just last weekend, even allowing for the loss of Watmough and Hoppa, Manly should win easily.

Yet despite this dominance, at home, at full (or close to it) strength they only won by a converstion. Now, without their best two players, average backs, away from home they are going to win by 6?

Stewart is better than Johnson, lmfao at people rating Johnson higher.

^You're clearly biased if you're 'lmfaoing' at that opinion.
Dallas Johnson is a representative star and is a fantastic player, no he doesn't attack, but his defence cannot be ignored.

I think we lose, hopefully by less than 10 though, there is chance to win if we rattle the halves who are still young enough to get shaken up if roughed early.

Lol at roughing up Foran. Teams have been trying it all year. It doesn't work.

True, when I think of rep star I don't think of Thurston, Locky, Slater etc. I think of Dallas Johnson. All the kids running around with his name on their jumpers just proves how much of a star he is.

But he makes 40 tackles a game garts. He's so much of a star he's not even getting a run for qld

It was a tough call between Saly Cherry Evans and Foran for the fantasy team but i went with DCE-right call?

I doubt the Eagles pack will be fearing the cowboys pack, Trex has been outstanding in recent weeks.. I rate Johnson, he has been an outstanding backrowers for years, I would prefer G Stewart over Johnson, heaps more attacking ability. I think the forwards will contain each other…

King will play out of his skin because of his SOO axing (I don't think he should have been there in the first place) Watch for young Darcy Lussick, this kid has sooo much potential if he can stay fit, reminds me of a young Nik Kosef

Our backline should dominate the Cows

I think this will be a competitive game.

When JT is away Bowen plays like a dominant halfback and usually does very well.
