I haven't caught the replay yet - can anyone tell me what happened to Tom Symonds for the Roosters? He was named in the 17 I thought though looks like he didn't play.

Pearce struggles to lift a struggling side. He's great when his pack is starting to gain momentum which is why he still had a few decent highlights vs Manly, but the minute Manly defense started thrashing the Roosters side he basically went MIA.

If I were a Roosters fan I'd be more worried about Carney, had one easy run to the try line and did absolutely nothing from there, very dissapointing from last years dally M.

Only an idiot would be worried that a bloke who is not 100% fit playing his first game in months behind a woefuly beaten pack and a merkin referee didn't have a great game.

Brian Smith "THEY bend everybody. They bend themselves. They bend their backs. They bend the rules. They bend the referees. They bend us. And they bent us right over today."

Only Brian Smith could come up with a comment like that, yet it certainly summed up the way his Roosters had been cannon-balled out of their match against a depleted Manly at the SFS yesterday.

He'd told them. He'd told them all week to expect a mugging.

And when it came as forewarned, Manly did the bending. In the end, it was last year's grand finalists who eventually snapped in two.

Checked the replay, congrats to the Manly side. Well played. Didn't see that coming though I was concerned with the slippery conditions that would level this out. Gutsy win.

An absolutely deplorable effort by the roosters. I just don’t get it; we don’t seem to have any interest in playing against sides that are not well rated or sides that we “should beat”.

You watch them come out next week and at least put in against the dogs. Will they win? Who knows but they cannot play worse than they did yesterday.

For those blaming the halves it wasn’t their fault. The reason we lost was because of poor completion rates. I think we had about 6-7 “attacking” sets of 6 and we either scored a try or dropped the ball, I think maybe Manly held us out once.

Manly showed up to win and that’s exactly what they did so congratulations to them.
