BunniesMan has his ticket, is going to travel down on Friday, go to the game and being loud and proud wearing his Souths jersey then he'll go and get drunk in a Newcastle pub wearing his Souths gear to celebrate Souths making it to the finals for the second time in his lifetime.

Luckily the mates I'm staying with, one is an AFL fan, one a Union fan and the other doesn't follow sport so they won't be sad when I'm heaps happy, that way we can all have a good night.

We got this. I don't get to go to many games, so I'm definetley not travelling 400ks to see a loss, so obviously it will be a win.
 good thing you didn't head home straight after the game. I would have been genuinely concerned for your welfare. Make sure you drown your sorrows, but not too much; you've still got 400kms to travel in the morning!

Leaving for Newy when i finish this post. Can't wait, and I'm not sitting in the Souths designated area, I'll be amongst Knights fans so I'll be able to gloat when we smash them.

WE GOT THIS.
So, how did that smashing go?

With all due respect, I'm sure the person in question at least died laughing. At 50uff$.

And who could ask for a better way to go out?

Update for those concerned:

The man is in a stable condition in hospital after suffering a heart attack. I'm guessing they mustve lost him for a moment there.

Thank god for that. Reading on yahoo!7 that there was a biff and the 5-0 had to break it up. Thought the two may have been related.

I had a sneaking suspicion that the person in the crowd had died - very sad if true. There was absolutely no rush to get them into the ambulance and off to hospital which meant either it wasn't urgent (hard to believe considering how quick the ambulance came onto the ground) or there was nothing they could do. That and the fact they had a sheet completely surrounding the person from the get go and had plenty of policeman and paramedics nearby. R.I.P.

Happy to be wrong then :D

Nah that was in the bottom of the Western Grandstand, opposite end of the ground.

Talanoa at the best of times is a rocks or diamonds player but he's obviously hasn't recovered from his bout with pneumonia.

Anybody's who's had it knows how debilitating it can be.

yep, he will be f**ked for a month even after its completely gone.
if he has played a game while still affected by it, top effort, but f**king dangerous

Just got home. Drove 400 k's there and back to watch this awful game. Woeful refereeing (Sutton dropped it between his legs, it went directly towards our tryline and the wanker ref reckons it was a knock on), woeful first half by us against a woeful team that clearly is inferior to us. Surrounded by Newcastle inbreds in the stands (seriously, Jennifer Hawkins is the only attractive person to come from that hole in the history of Newcastle) giving ME shit for being a Souths fan..

After the game went out and got drunk with the mates I was staying with. I'm pretty sure I drank every drop of alcohol in Newcastle to try and get over this game. Woke up at 11am today stuck between my mates couch and the wall. Worst hungover ever, people I don't know passed out all over the house (apparently I invited 6 strangers to crash at the house...which wasnt mine).

Spent all day at a beach trying to forget about last night. Then drove 400 k's while still probably over the limit. Now I look like a tomato from the sunburn, still got a headache from drinking, sore from driving 800ks in 2 days. And this BS game is still engraved in my memory and won't f**k off.

Oh well, when we get a coach who knows how to teach a vaguely competent defense next year, and a halfback who can make a tackle without either killing himself...or missing the tackle, and with a fit Burgess and Inglis, we're going to dominate this comp.

Meanwhile Melbourne to put 50 on this hopeless mob we lost to (if they were any good they'd have scored 50 in the 1st half, we were that shit). And Newcastle to come 8th next year too (a hooker slowed down by Super league is a massive step down from De Gois...+the shit halves).
