Based on what exactly?
Firstly we'll be at home where our record is vastly superior (we only won 1 game outside of NSW all year). Secondly even the best of the non top 4 teams are nowhere near as good as Melbourne. Thirdly the finals experience gained from this loss.

We earned ourselves a 2nd chance for a reason.

We need to put this terrible performance behind us.. We get a win next week and we can forget all about it.

I certainly don't think we are good enough to win it this year but what I do expect is to play well next week and win, and at least make the prelims.

Look on the bright side..it looks like the Broncos are going to be flogged by more than 18 points. They have stage fright just as bad as we did tonight. Yeah hopefully we can turn it around next week.

The Storm must know they are so good ...they were faking it over the last few months. They did their maths and knew what they had to do to finish in the top 4... if we don't get them in the lead up to the finals, I sure hope Manly do.

well played Storm , great defence mixed with some smart plays.
Souths apart from giving away too many penalties early were too one out for most of the first 70 minutes.

Didn't Souths have the worst record against top 8 sides since SOO3 when that was trotted out earlier.

While there's a shitload of work to do and there's a long way to go to win the comp this is still a nice f**k you to the Sydney media and those up there that thought we were gone. Last season at this time of year we were spent and had nothing to give but after tonight I reckon we've still got a bit more in the tank to at least give it a shake. Whether that'll be enough we don't know but I can't wait to find out.

Were you waving a feather duster when you posted that?

Souths got schooled in finals footy. storm looking good. And they did it missing arguably their best prop and their best centre...both who will be welcomed back in a fortnight. Take that Sydney media you scummy pigs.

Went on and on about Storm relying too heavily on their big 3...yet failed to realise how much Souths relied on just one GI.
