I gotta say I'm surprised Brent Tate didn't get a penalty or 10 in the bin for the ground punch (even as a QLD supporter) regardless of the leadup elbow-in-the-eye. Though I only saw it in slow-mo so may have looked a lot worse than it actually was?

Pearce with yet another unmemorable performance, Maloney for NSW next year!

Pretty sure it's Thurston who has the angel wings on his back. Tate's dog shot was a dog act (like Jennings' in game two) and should have not been allowed to pass unpunished.

tate's shot should have seen him penalised for sure, not gonna argue that point, because he should have been pinged for it. It's hardly in the same class as Jennings runnng from a distance to throw a king hit on the fly though. Maybe Tate should have just stayed down when Gallen put a cheap shot on him, like Morris tried with the hayne break. Could have sworn someone shot Morris and he was dead till you see him sneaking a look up at the play.

Tate started the whole thing with his punch to Gallens head in the tackle.
All the replays showed it and Archer has the nerve to say he saw nothing..........

I guess your sig explains why you "missed" gallens cheap shot that started it.

As a NSW fan, Im disappionted with them. Our kicking game was terrible, our defense at times was terrible and we made too many costly errors or penalties that QLD took advantage of. Tony Archer is GOAT, not his fault with the Hodges try, Video Ref's fault... but in honesty Hodges really didn't shepherd around Hannant imo. Fair call. Robbie Farah overall had a good game though I have to admit how crap he was for dropping that ball which QLD eventually took advantage of with a field goal. Quit moaning! We are close to QLD! We should have picked a prop on the bench instead of bloody Ben Creagh... Trent Merrin FTW!

Maybe you should watch it again then.
Considering most caught it.

Tate should have been penalized for that - But the refs had been under fire for what they did to Jennings in game 1 for punching, so is it only convenient if NSW doesn't get penalized?

Great game, I'm not sure on the Hodges try.
Everything else was fine, but I'm sure there will be butt hurt whinging for weeks to come.
If NSW get some decent halves they'll make a strong case to take the series next year.

Good, tough game of football. Disappointing to lose but Qld know how to win, know how to play those clutch situtations.

Sad it had to be Farah who f**ked up near the end because we wouldnt have been near Qld without him in that game, or in the series. Been just about our best.

Josh Morris has gone up a long way in my eyes, he was brilliant this series, last night especially.

Agree with Aqua duck, why we didnt pick another prop I dont know, it clearly helped in game II. Bench wasnt used all that well, why Lewis took so long to enter the game I dont know either.

Tate acted like a tool last night. Good series from him though.

Thought that penalty for the Cronk high tackle was pretty poor, given they'd been happening all series, relieved when NSW got the penalty for the same thing a bit later.

Shepherd, well, yeah that seemed pretty textbook, but oh well.

Considering it was the australian backline and front row, NSW did very well this series, but we still couldnt win. Proud of them but pretty shattered regardless. Brilliant Queensland side though, well done to them on another victory.

veritable, rofl. Might wanna try dictionary.com before you use words you don't the meaning to.

As for the game. Wow. One of the best soo games i've ever witnessed. Jt shows why he's the best playmaker in the game, gi shows why he's the most destructuve runner in rugby league, and the qld forwards showed massive amounts of heart to dominate the nsw pack after being dominated themselves in games 1 and 2.

I can't believe the amount of butthurt crying over the refs, fmd you lunatics. If you can't enjoy that game last night for what it was, you are a f**king muppet and should go and burn your eyes out with acid.

Qld too good in the end. Going for 8 straight next year. Oh yeah.

foad.

Absolutely gutted. I suppose we can whinge all we want about a few decisions there but we are our own worst enemy. We turned the ball over at least twice in a promising attacking position. Very rarely do the maroons make mistakes like that and as soon as it was locked up with 9 to go, I thought this was Qld's favourite situation. Qld win, that's what they do-they are brilliant but resilient as well.

Too good for us in the clutch again, Maroons.

Tate was taken high and worked over extensively on the ground. The referees decided not to apply a penalty for that and instead allowed play to continue.

Greg Bird then decided to come in and start another fight with Tate.

Tate is not the problem here.

So it's ok to come in when an opposition player is being held down and punch him in the side of the face. Cool.

The referees should have called a penalty for the high shot at the time. They did not; there would have been no fight if they had.

The referees should have called a penalty for illegally attacking Tate's head on the ground. They did not; there would have been no fight if they had.

The referees should have called a penalty when Bird charged out of the defensive line to have a go at Tate. They did not; there would have been no fight if they had.

By the time you get to Tate's half-hearted attempt on Bird, he's had three straight illegal attacks made on him that the referees decided to do nothing about. Frankly, if Bird didn't want to get punched, he should not have gone in to start a fight. And if the referees could be bothered to apply the rules in the first place, none of it would have happened at all.

As it was the only outcome of the whole affair was Queensland being given the penalty they should have had to start with. Bird was lucky not to have been marched for blatantly leaving his defensive line to have a go at Tate.

I knew they had blown it when Farah dropped it cold trying to play the ball.

Single biggest turning point in the game.

It wasn't/isn't Gallen's elbow.
Looks like Grants to me.

To be fair to Robbie it was he who kept us in the game with two tries from his kicks. He had to do all the play making for our halves. I feel sorry for him making that error at the end.

Lol it's easy to say that a knock on, while on the attack, one point behind, in the 77th minute is the turning point of the game.

In fact, only a moron would bother saying it.
