6-0 IN THE WIND. How did we manage that.

We've conceded 12 points in our last 2 weeks. Good way to enter the finals.

Only our 3rd win ever in Newcastle. And on old boys day when they win something like 80+% of the time.

Lots of history tonight went against.

I'm happy with the win but wasn't convincing. If we don't step up we'll get smacked by dogs or eagles.

Against teams coming 16th and 11th (or 12 depending on results to come)
you'd demand nothing less.
True but a lot of top teams have lost against those sorts of teams in recent weeks.

I'm happy with the improvement in our defensive structure that wasn't there a few weeks ago.

And remember Newcastle on old boys days is a very tough fixture. They win it the vast majority of the time. This game certainly wasn't easy.

Apparently there was a bit of a light breeze tonight...

Well done to souffs. I did not think they were capable of a top 4 finish at the start of the year. And if you're good enough to make the top 4, in theory you're good enough to win it. Hopefully it's either them or the Cowboys. Manly, Melbourne, Canterbury can go and get f**ked.

I don't think putting a score on Knights was ever a possibility on Old Boys Night

I'm talking about the way we played in general not the final score. We wont score two tries from dummy half against the better teams.
Stoked with the win but I think we looked lost inside their 20 with the ball and we looked pedestrian when shifting.
Our effort was good in defense but we were exposed on our right side.
We need to improve on tonight game if we want to be a real threat.

Jeez that was disappointing. Our worst Old Boys day performance I've seen, or at least that I remember.

They are getting field position but keep shooting themselves in the foot before they can apply any pressure

To win on Old Boys day was a great effort, and I am very proud of the our guys.

That tackle on Uate by Inglis was insane, I honestly don't think anyone else could have stopped the big guy in that situation.
