The Tigers played a team every bit as ravaged as them.

I read an article suggesting Penrith were forced to drop second tier players to the reggies, players who had been the principal reason behind the recent surge in form.

I think we're going to hear more about this. Here's a club miles below the cap having to drop outstanding local juniors due to the cap.

Its as though the game doesn't want to see crack youngsters playing first grade.

This game is its own worst enemy, fair dinkum.

Thats what happens when you have to drop Matt Moylan for wes Naiqama. You lose a safe fullback , ball playing skills and your entire backline is irrelevant ad a result. Throw in no front rowers, and Panthers had no chance to begin with. Moylan would have changed the result IMO.

I can't believe the Moylan situation. Most baffling scenario ive ever encountered in league.

Penrith, and Moylan, should sue someone. It's nothing short of outrageous.

f**king pathetic back to the same old shit.
We missed moylan big time in attack.
Newton is a f**king spastic merkin.

Edit* Walsh is also merkin his worse game of the year and thats pretty hard to do.

Gutsy win. I'm surprised Simona won man of the match, I thought Woods and Whare were more deserving. Anyway, a huge step toward avoiding the spoon.

If any panthers fan blames no moylan for that loss they are deluded. You were camped on our line for multiple periods during the second half and couldn't score, if you were good enough you would have won.

Low standard but entertaining game, which was to be expected with so many players out from both teams. Thought the tigers bench was the difference. Sue and Ava in particularly had much more impact then the penrith bench.

Can't read much into that, just happy with the 2 points. Another fcking injury though, korobeite likely out long term.

It's pretty simple. One team on the field today was allowed to select its best available players. The other team wasn't. On the basis is some obscure and stupid second tier rule. .

Congrats on your win and all, but try to imagine how you might feel is the NRL had told your club it had to drop vital players. You wouldnt expect a supporter of a club that was the clear beneficiary of such an odd ruling to disagree with it, but do try imagine if it was your team stiffed by something like this.

Stupid it may be, but it's hardly obscure.

The Panthers aren't the first to be caught by it, they won't be the last unless the rules are changed mid-season.

Mate, I feel for the panthers, it was Terrible and is a shit rule. However you aren't the first team it's happened too, you've just got Phil Gould who can make a big deal of it.

However there were no excuses for losing that game today, you had 17 fit first graders representing your club and couldn't get the job done despite multiple opportunities.

Better team won no doubt about it but Moylan IMO gets us over the line if we are there (just). Not blowing up just frustrated that we finally seemed to have a turned a corner a little and this road block gets thrown up.
