Boyd not retuning the ball has been discussed by Knights fans before and it has been revealed that its part of the game plan. Basically he gets it to his wingers, who are 2 of the most effective ball returners in the game, in order to make himself available for a dummy half scoot on the next play. It's actually pretty effective 90% of the time and makes good yardage

Yeah, but JW, he still only ran the ball eight times last night. Compare that with Gordon who ran the ball 20 times.

Not sure about that...the Chooks have a more structured backline than the Knights which is why he may seem to be a passenger.
