Oh well what an average game. Neither will win the real prize. Who cares about the minor premiership? and if this is the standard of the finals, I'll probably save my time.

Mitchell Pearce is still a myth. Winning his sissy boy club a minor prem doesn't make up that he lost the origin series for NSW.

Omg did not think we would be close tonight. Minor premiers 2013 would not have picked that in march

Good game. Enjoyed it. Would have liked less penalties and dropped balls, but overall good effort.

Well done Chooks - minor premiership champions for season.

My two cents...

Roosters slaughtered the Bunnies in the second half in the forward battle.

Sam Burgess went MIA and SBW proved that mobility and skill wins out over hype. Those critics of Pearce and Maloney can go suck a lemon...both played well under pressure.

As for Souths...they have no structure when GI is injured and IMO he is which adds nothing to their depth in attacking options when he is playing on one leg.

The Chooks proved that depth across the park beats reliance on the likes of Inglis, Sutton and Luke.

A bit scrappy, but not a bad game. Roosters definitely the better team. Had more energy in both attack and defence. And when they went for the extra gear, souffs had no answer.

So a depleted Roosters side that beat a full strength South Sydney outfit will go out in straight sets while Souths could make the Grand Final?

Logical.

Yep. Quote me in a fortnight. Nrl doesn't have logic.. these stupid penalties that roosters give away every game will hurt them come finals.

Also imo roosters can't play much better than that where as souths were off the game and got big game jitters. McGuire will make sure they're up next week.

Such an absorbing game that will play the Roosters back into form.Souths will see this game as a game that they will learn a lot from.

This contest could have quite easily gone either way and I thank both teams for the entertainment.

those souths dopes holding the sign, 'Scum: Forever in our shadow' must be feeling stupid right about now.

Although it is a daily feeling those those people.

This game proves that in finals you need full intensity and little moments of skill are not going to win a game...reality check for Souths.

souffs are frauds, still got the typical leg up but faltered still even with the Roosters missing key players.

LOL @ Souffs winning this trophy by aggregate after being owned. Is this better than a charity shield?
