Skeepe, while I agree with you in general, tonight's performance is not on Furner.

You can tell the Raiders "turned up" tonight as we were extremely enthusiastic in the first 20 minutes.

The simple facts are:

a) The Roosters are a good footy team.

and more importantly

b) We are a bog average sh*t team.

Let's face it, every year we overrate our squad. Any team with Josh McCrone will not be anywhere near success.

While its not all on furner we are boring as balls and very predictable. That falls on him.

Raiders had absolutely nothing this half, but seriously give any team enough ball in attacking position and they are surely going to go over eventually.

Robinson should be putting a rocket up us to hold the bloody ball. We are defending brilliantly and when we occasionally get into the Canberra half we look ok, but these school boy errors could cost us

As an aside I am happy that even after 5 halves in a row keeping the opposition to zero no one is mentioning our defence. Keep it under the radar

It's bee outstanding with plenty of desperation (the Hargraves tackle on papali was magic) and will hold us in good stead when we come up against the top sides

Must be furners fault !! Just ask Kreepe

Here is a raiders set in attacking position.

3 slow lumbering hit ups from the forwards, an inside ball to fensom, a bit of ball movement normally mccrone will try and play papalii short or it will be spread into the centres.

The last tackle will be a poorly placed bomb just sort of booted into the air with no purpose.

Furner has to take responsibility for how predictable we are.

The Roosters are very committed this early in the season. Very impressive defence especially when they turned away the Broncos time and time again.

Geez the Raiders look awful tonight.

The amount of laying around in the ruck the Chooks have gotten away with since Round 2 is a worry, especially Jake Friend. Every set he is the one holding on after the release call

the roosters will come out and complete nearly all their sets. the coach will have given it to them in that regard. once they get to their kicks and put the ball out of play, the raiders have zero chance of coming back.

The fact that we have turned up is exactly why it's on Furner.

The game plan is f**king rubbish, set after set after set on their line and we have absolutely nothing in attack. That's on Furner.

Our defence has regressed since last year. That's on Furner.

We just look like we have no idea how to play rugby league. That's on Furner.

We have shown no improvement in 5 games, if anything we're getting worse. That's on Furner.

David Furner is employed to coach the Canberra Raiders. His job is to create game plans capable of winning football games, something that he appears utterly incapable of doing. We don't just look bad, we look a long long way behind the second-worst team in the NRL.

That, I'm sorry to say, is on David Furner.

The commentators keep going on about it... not sure how that counts as under the radar.
