Awesome performance by the Bravehearts. Such tenacious defense and team effort.
All other factors aside, Tonga had no right to lose to that team... but they did. This World Cup is absolutely fantastic thus far.

Great game. I was on the edge of my seat.

I think Tonga tried to just run through them in the first half, with creative play and kicking non-existent and Scotland played brilliant at the same time
.
In the second it was a complete turnaround. Tonga had some great creativity and their kicking game was quality. But they made too many errors and simply couldn't crack the line.

I think Tonga lost night is a great example of why Polynesian nations still have a long way to go. They may produce loads of good forwards and wingers, but until they can actually start producing halfbacks and hookers of any quality, they will continue to struggle. New Zealand addressed this issue, and since they produced quality halves they have been a raging success. Team's like Scotland with good halves will overcome the raw power of a Polynesian team.

What a cracking game, one of the best I have watched in many a year, not the most skillful or athletic but for sheer drama it will be hard to beat! You know its a great game when you start of as a neutral cheering for one side then end up on the edge of your seat cheering for the other at the end. Watching Scotland get that last video decision you'd have thought it was watching my team win a cup! It was like one of them war films where you are cheering on the overwhelmed platoon as they get picked off one by one but know they have just got to hang on till reinforcements arrive!
Great advert for the "minnows" of the RLWC and just another outstanding RLWC moment. International RL has so so much potential. come on RLIF get it sorted!
