Will be a cracker. I will tip NSW at home, but QLD will still be dangerous even if their best 2 attacking weapons, Slater and Inglis, aren't playing. They needed neither of them to score tries in game 1.

Agree but how many times have those two got them out of strife...a lot.

Who else do they have ?...Thurston, Thurston and Thurston.

Wow. How bad is the depth in the halves position across the entire NRL when Ben Hunt is in line to get a start in Origin and the NSW combination struggled to unseat Pearce.

Outside of Thurston none of the potential starting four are anything better than solid. I know Cronk and Cherry-Evans are both hurt and the QLD three are leagues ahead of the rest but it's incredible how bad it's gotten compared to eras gone by.

The standard has dropped significantly across the board since Nathan Fien retired.

Have you watched Ben Hunt play this year?

QLD have always had depth issues, especially at spine positions.

Over the years, guys like Karmichael Hunt, Julian O'Neill and Shaun Berrigan have played at the 6 and 7 positions.

So this is hardly new. That what makes Origin so good IMO, is that you sometimes discover a as yet unheralded or unfashionable star.

lol If GI and Slater are injured and we don't win, then I don't think we will ever win.

We're going to knock em off and we'll do it comfortably. Refusing to pick Inglis at fullback is negligence.
