I picked a NSW win in game one. This is game is in Sydney. Your team is much weaker. You still have that big sack of mediocrity at fullback. Anyone who picked a NSW win in game one is even more convinced with this game.

You'd know all about sacks of mediocrity.

Very, very worried NSW are going to let this opportunity slip. If they defend well again, we will end the streak tonight but we have to start much better and will need 3-4 tries to win this imo. We'll find out tonight whether we've learnt from years of mediocrity and hopefully we finish the job.

It's just felt like the time has finally come for our amazing streak to come to a close. The ball literally bounced the way of NSW a few crucial times in game 1 and then the injuries came.

But now that it's game day, I can't help but feel confident all of a sudden.

Injuries?

You're missing Parker.

We are down Fifita and Cordner still, as well as the Morris boys.

And the refs whistle bounced between your ballsacks all night.

The pink turds were hugely in your favour.

So no excuses, either way.

Haha I'm no Slater fan I can't stand him actually but he has kept your man GI out of fullback his whole career. Btw wat was ur opinion of GI before he went to souffs?

Anyone who is convinced of any side winning before the 80mins is up is either a newby to SOO or an utter moron

This game can go either way and likely to go down to the wire

Definitely an ambush.

I'm not worried about our defence, it's our lack of attack that concerns me. It's was 2 tries a piece we shouldn't forget.

Putting money on Maroons to win, just in case my heart gets broken again.

I understand the temptation for NSW fans to be pessimistic right now, and if Qld win tonight I wouldn't be as surprised as many others apparently would be. However, let's put it in perspective for a moment:

- One of Qld's two tries was in the opening 10 minutes of the match. From a knock-on.
- For the last half an hour, NSW were kept almost entirely inside their own half by Qld, yet Qld still relied solely on Darius brushing over in the corner to score points.
- Qld were only a chance at winning in the last 10 minutes of the game because Shane Hayne gave them the most amount of leg-ups we've seen since Barry Gomersall had the whistle!

FTR, I happen to agree with BM that Inglis should be fullback and Slater should be on the wing. G.I is quicker, more powerful and is more damaging at full speed- a luxury afforded to him when he's at #1.

What can I say? Even a broken clock is right twice a day…

In all seriousness, I'm surprised Slater still gets preference at fullback over Inglis. Instead of G.I posing a threat no matter where Qld are on the field, he generally only becomes a threat within 20 metres of the try line when he's in the centres.

A bit concerned with jokers like Matt Johns 'guaranteeing' that NSW will win tonight. It's like he's never watched origin before.

Slater was QLDs best in game one by 10 lengths.

His involvement was exceptional - which is Inglis' biggest fault.

So why on earth would they move him to the wing?

Meh. Qld have had their fair share of jokers over the years too- ultimately what they say won't really make a difference to how each side prepares for tonight's game.
