Danish has provided a pretty fair assessment in my mind. In saying that I reckon we can roll them. I haven't looked forward to a game so much for a long long time.

I think you're right there Danish. It certainly showed in our games against Manly and storm a fortnight ago. We were right in those games, and on top in fact, for large parts, just didn't have the class on the field to get it done. Penrith will need a few things to go there way but we know they'll turn up and have no pressure on them so that's a good start.

Penrith will give their all but they don't possess the firepower of the Roosters, why is that wrong? I doubt that any Penrith player would make the Roosters top side.

Segeyaro would make the bench. Whare at right centre.

That's about it.

But they're a very solid team. However if both teams play at their best then I think our 32-12 win is a fair reflection of the difference between the two sides.

People have been writing off the panthers due to injuries etc for about 2 months, and they just keep winning. Cleary has managed to find the kind of consistency out of his squad that few teams in the comp have ever managed. They haven't put in too many 10/10 performances but I can't recall a game where they were below a 7.

If the roosters go into the game with an ounce of complacency then we'll get rolled. If we turn up ready to fire then I think we will prove too much for them.

Going to be a cracker of a game either way.

Idris is the only panther who would make our top side. It's funny how sensitive the Penrith fans are. I'm just stating the obvious. If the Roosters fire they'll blow Penrith away, that's not a boast it's just fact.

Is that with a gifted 40/20 that wasn't, a gifted try and a bloke incorrectly in the bin all within the first five minutes again?

Do you remember 2003 Tommy? A big Roosters victory in the preliminary rounds was emphatically reversed in the Grand Final, remember? Remember the Roosters standing behind their posts after Priddis scored? The looks on their faces? That was a team that believed they only had to turn up. There's a bit of that evident again from the team's supporters, you wanna hope your team respects their opposition, something they have been guilty of not doing quite a few times this year.

As I said, Penrith will have a red hot go but the Roosters are a great side and they will have too much class, It's not arrogance just the truth, Panther fans there is no point getting your knickers in a knot.

It's all good. On paper it's hard to argue. The only way we win is to give the Roosters absoloutly nothing. No mistakes & win the Penalty count. Both are achievable. Frustrate the Chooks away from their game plan & enjoy the week off. Of course that is much easier to say than implement.

Pearce had a blinder against souffs but will he back it up? Soward has been in career best form for most of the year. Our problem is Maloney>>>Smith.

Pearce is in a purple patch, no risk about it but Soward (who came to Penrith under a form cloud) has led and directed a no-names patched-together side to 15 wins this season, just one fewer than the Roosters who have a galaxy of stars at their disposal. And I suspect at about two thirds the price.
