Honestly the way the refs separated the sides with penalties in the early part of the game was great but the consistently in the second half disappeared.

Great game to watch and i definitely see these two challenging in September.

Again…. good tough win, missing a couple of key forwards. Stewart was very good but overall it was a good team performance.

The Roosters seem to fall into the same old habits of giving away penalty after penalty, thinking they can defend their way out of it. It's fair to say, they over achieved to an extent last year but they just aren't winning these big games, this year.

Before the match, the Roosters were saying, this game would give them an indication of where they're at. Well….. coming fresh off a bye and knowing that a win meant top spot on the ladder; they just weren't up to it.
