It's all because of Burgess. He just plays for his stats, but he never really has an impact. He is just a fit player, who grubs his way through games, but doesn't ever really bend the line, break tackles, off load etc. And he gets the ball too often when Souths need it to go to the backs. I agree they are too inconsistent. Madge has done a good job with the side but he still has some massive questions over his coaching the brittle mentality of his sides.

Their halves are overrated, their backs mostly consistent of duds and their star player isn't exactly the player they expect him to be. They can win matches, but not when the important stuff is on the line and won't until they change the way the play.

Sadly, they're a delusional lot who think as long as the Sydney media sing their praises they'll go the distance.
