We have a much better record away from home than we do at home so Penrith need to be on their game, especially with how well Parker and Hodgeo performed last night.

I wonder which fraudulent manner the Moylan's will steal a victory here? I've got $10 on a refereeing blunder & constant exploitation of the Bronco's weakened team. The disgrace of the league those mountain cheats.

Broncos Away 5/3.
Panthers Home 6/1.

It's fortress Penrith this year. Of course, I'm certain the boys will be wary of the opposition, who at their best are a strong opponent. And we really do need to win this one, as the 4 1/2 day turnaround that follows against the Roosters will be a guaranteed loss.

I've got $500 on points being scored in this game. With odds of 2:1 on and the short favourite of $1.01 with the odds coming in to the line of +13.5 who knows what might happen.

Shouldn't this toxic germ be infecting the Sea Eagles this week? It appears to have clung to us. Wipe your feet.

Part of the fun of leading the comp.

Also I note that this match, being played in the graveyard slot of Monday night although clearly the match of the round, has comfortably more posts on this game-day thread than all other games in the round combined. Something to consider as you settle down on Sunday afternoon in front of Channel 9 to watch the Sharks-Newcastle blockbuster spoonfest. And maybe the NRL and Channel 9 when they get their ratings and crowd figures for this round will give some thought to when they program matches as well. Doing it on last year's finishing positions isn't really working.

This game gets 17,000 on Sunday afternoon. It will be lucky to get 10,000 on Monday. Not only have they got a miserable offering on FTA (unless you happen to support one of those sides) but they've destroyed the crowd of an excellent game in the bargain. Shoot yourself in the foot anyone?

We're on Monday to give the Origin players from the Broncos a rest, obvs. Broncos getting special treatment again.

Their last 6 games:
2009: Brisbane 58-24
2010: Penrith 22-12
2011: Brisbane 18-10
2011: Penrith 33-10
2012: Brisbane 19-12
2013: Penrith 28-12

Brisbane haven't won at Penrith since 2009

It's a cold lonely place for them. We're a good chance, but I can't see how Brisbane are weakened this round.
I think it would take a miracle to beat the Roosters a coupla days later though.

Broncos get a two week turnaround, except for a few players who have a 5 day turnaround. Broncos cry about it being unfair.

Yet Panthers then have a 5 day turnaround for the entire team to face competition heavyweights off a 2 week turnaround just next weekend.

We have to play both teams after humiliating losses which will have them fired up. Broncos can't use a 5 day turnaround for a few players as an excuse. It's almost fair for a change.

All this handbags at ten paces crap.

How about whoever's team loses has to change their avatar to the other's team logo for a week?

Oh, now we're competition heavyweights again. Make up your mind.
