This game will give a better indication of where we are at, injuries to the knights two best players makes this a winnable game for us, two decent forward packs going at it, some good back line talent, it'll be a good game either way

I remember being up in Newcastle a few years ago and as I was walking towards the shopping centre I saw a girl who walked by me with dreadlocks and covered in tattoos puffing away on a "ciggy" with the rest of the pack up her arm held closely towards her unhealthy skin by a torn and dirty shirt with the faded word 'PRINCESS' on it.

She was on her phone, and as she passed me by I could hear her rough voice as she said "Oh yeah, like you know what I mean, mate?"

The smell coming from her as I went by made me throw up a little in my mouth.

After a few days in Newcastle, believe it or not, she was one of the posh girls they had over there.

This post has too much common sense.

Im in Canberra at the moment. Newcastle is pretty bad for bogans, but the pregnant meth addicts I keep seeing here are no better.

What the hell is with this thread? I come to see any late team changes and you lot have been bitching for about 250 posts already.

Newcastle are a team we should always beat, dreadful roster with a coach who hasn't given a toss for a few years. Then again, we have a habit of losing games we should win.

We are not favourites here for a reason. Newcastle could have a massive bounce back. Also, Wayne Bennett has only lost the first 2 games of the season twice in his coaching history.

If we start the game with the same intensity as last week then Newcastle are no chance.

Just hope they do not show to many close ups of people in the crowd.

Starting to rain here now (I'm about 5 mins from the stadium). Looking very dark outside. Hopefully it's not pissing down during the game.

i hope it is.

two dull teams with a dull rainy affair. plenty of errors and a good excuse that torrential rain affected the game.

perfect. hopefully canberra capitulate.

Not at all confident of this one. The away game hoodoo is always a concern, but I can't see us losing by more than 56 - 4.

Raiders will equal our worst losing streak if we lose this.

Not really something Ricky will want to wear, as it started under Furner's reign of error. Interestingly enough, three of our top five losing streaks came under Furner.

Really looking forward to watching Matt Minto debut at fullback. Pretty impressive start last week in the NSW Cup at halfback, should add a lot in attack.

Just hope we don't cop any serious injuries to key players, we're ony two/three weeks away from fielding our strongest 17.
