We were so dominant in territory tonight I didn't think that would be the case. Roosters were average and i can't remember one penalty that shouldn't have been. Very ill disciplined from the roosters tonight. Goal line defence especially hikus try saver was immense.

Most teams on the right side of an 11-2 penalty would be dominant. The fact the normally quietly spoken Trent Robinson gave the refs a post match blast says it all. Not having a go at Manly but the refs were sh1t.

Honest question - which penalty which was given to manly wasn't justified? It's also been all 3 games this year that you've been ill disciplined not just last night.

Well done Manly, too good on the night.

We never put enough pressure on their defence to warrant penalties. We ran one out all night.

Still, we got our defence back on track. Most other sides would have conceded 60 let alone 6 with Manly having that much ball inside their 20 meter.

See you in September.

Chook.

Another one that doesn't get it. We are complaining about the lack of penalties we received. Can you seriously claim that manly didnt do anything worthy of a penalty in the 2nd half?

I just watched Robinson in the Presser, he's delusional.

"Jake Friend doesn't play for penalties, he just picks up the ball and plays on" - Rubbish!

One of the Roosters fans was on here having a cry about Friend not receiving a penalty when, thinking they were offside, he deliberately ran into two Manly players. He could have run around them and got a quick pass away, but he was hoping to milk a penalty. He didn't succeed.

The Roosters are the most ill disciplined team in the competition. They're content to give away penalty after penalty because;

1. They think the penalty count will always even out. Thus giving an equal share of possession.
2. They back their defence to hold out teams.

At half time Robinson had the hyde to say, they would come over the top and win in the last 20mins of the game. Playing at home, up against a Manly side down to 16 fit players (after a JWH high shot) and missing a host of others, they couldn't score a single point.

With the way some of the Roosters players were carrying on and Robinson's petulant display in the press conference, they're overdue for a reality check. All that being the Premiers means, is you enter each game with a target on your back. Last year, they flew under the radar to a certain extent. This year, every other team wants to take them down.

Ah I see now. So Jake had the option to not get tackled by offside players so therefore it isn't a penalty.

Roosters were easily the better team last night taking the penalties out. Will smash them at brookvale round 2. Robinsons presser btw was all class compared to Tooveys crying investigation one. Manly are the worst team in the comp
