Really good win by Manly under the circumstances. With the players they had out and losing G.Stewart in the first half to another piece of foul play by JWH, they battled on and thoroughly deserved the win.

The Roosters for their part were far too ill disciplined and as the game slipped away, it only got worse. They defended well but with Foran on 1 leg and without Taufua and the Stewarts, Manly were a long way from their best in attack.

Both teams were exhausted at the end and after the short turn around, I'm sure the Manly boys will appreciate the time to recover ahead of the Tigers game next Sunday.

Great start to the weekend.

Great turn around by manly tbh. They conceded an average of 7 penalties per game in the first 3 games but only 2 in this game. Incredible stuff. What odds on manly not conceding less than 3 penalties in any other game this year?

The thing that gets me, if the penalty count is that lop-sided, why aren't the referees sending these players to the bin?

The game has just come on here, but did the refs even caution the Chooks?

that was a shocker of a game neither team had any decent attack.
The refereeing was diabolical probably worse than the Parra Manly game

I am sick of Manly players laying down (changed to take out Stewart, he took a dive. Just watched the replay and I have dealt with many concussions to players and he dogged it)
I could not believe every tackle Manly whinged.
The Roosters need to learn to fight to get up to play the ball, they just lay there, thats why they do not get too many penalties.

Hargrave's tackle on Stewart, had absolutely nothing wrong with it, should not even have been a penalty.

My favourite part was when friend fan into 2 clearly offside markers, they grabbed hold, all 26 players on the field stopped and waited for the penalty (manly even started to turn their backs and walk).... Then no penalty.

He deliberate non-call on the high tackle on Pearce though was the worst. What if we wanted to take the 2? Refs can't just decide to not give penalties in scoring position because the team who would have got the penalty were getting the ball anyway.

Serious stitch up by Cummins. Almost beats when he sent Anasta off for getting punched in the head.

This. Give a few sin bins out and we won't see these lopsided counts.

Its because we don't fight hard enough on the play the ball apparently. It matters with blatant offsides

So proud of our effort.

What was it, about 50 tackles in our 20 on top of an 11-2 penalty count and we only lost 8 nil.

Unbelievable. Anyone else would have lost 40 nil.

That was such a stitch up that all you can do is laugh at the end.

Funny how....

they change the obstruction rule for this week?? Brisbane were awarded a try exactly the same last week

Cordner gets penalised for a cannonball tackle when I saw at least 20 the same

Manly not penalised for ruck infringements.....please!

That was a disgrace and an embarrassment to Rugby League. Nick shgould give Trent 10K and let him go. The refs need to be accountable for blatant cheating.

Had to laugh at Gus saying what a gutsy display it was by Manly....Is he f**king serious. A team that has 60% of ball and gets all the decisions should win by 40 not 8.

Ultimately, it's only rnd 4 so no big deal.

We're the Premiers. The refs can suck on that.

Its important that the bias against us is being brought to light now so they can't use it when it matters.

It seems the Roosters are once again the darlings of the League and can get away with 2 horrendously lopsided penalty counts in a row. The Premiers shield is at full power, Cap'n!

Just despicable stuff.
