Only three firsts played. Ava Seumanufagai, Murdoch-Masila and Jack Buchanan. It was the NSW Cup team tbh.

It wasn't about one game, it was a festival of Indigenous Rugby League, the people that mattered took it seriously and that's all that counts. Kudos to Benny and Laurie, the only thing that Indigenous League players need to be taught is dedication to fitness

Like I said confidence win for our guys if anything.

I don't remember the sides exactly, but I remember a trial in 2003 where Penrith smacked Newcastle around. Remembering how Penrith finished in 2002, you never know where it could lead to.

Yeah it was good of them to stream the match.

Only got to see bits of it but good to have a win. Neither side fielding strong line-ups but there were some promising displays from our young guys, particularly Jack Ahearn and Mitch Cornish. McCrone looked good at hooker.

More clubs should do it.
Fox Sports News gets two minutes of footage from the Sharks-Sea Eagles game...is it available anywhere else?

The NITV telecast was excellent. Showed parts of the whole week. Including lectures from past players and indigenous cultural sessions as well.

Exactly. Trials don't mean shit in terms of finishing place in the comp but its always good for the clubs that came down the bottom to get some much needed confidence early on.

It's funny - the last two years, we've been called a NSW Cup-level team. But the moment we play a moderately full-strength lineup against a NSW Cup side, we are "beating off prematurely" and are told to "get a life".

I find this very interesting.

Also, it's a trial. Who f**king cares?

Although, it was awesome seeing The Leg, Luke Kelly, carve up lol.

Tigers firsts minus Fulton, Galloway, simona, farah and a couple more won 32-8. All good

And the Penrith squad composed of 11 players that were either NSW Cup or have barely played 1st grade and 4 (give or take a couple) that had their 1st grade debut.

The winners are the ones that come away without any serious injuries and are better for the run to rid the cob-webs.

Although trials are not taken seriously, for the Eels, last nights result would be just the tonic to get the ball rolling after the past few years' of drama.

I hope the Eels get back on track this year...too good of a club to be in the doldrums as much as they have been.

I initially just got texted the tigers/panthers score, I thought it was the panthers way. Wasn't concerned then, just found out the tigers actually won, certainly not doing cartwheels.

Bulldogs just put on Twitter that all matches are recorded by NRL Films. FMD why not stream them then?

Rabbitohs beat the Dogs too

Rabbitohs sweep Dogs in Back to Belmore in all three grades

28-20 in NRL, with Bunnies fielding a second tier squad against a full Dogs squad. Keary and Walker the stand outs, especially when they were used as a halves combo

haha that was pretty cool

There was a huge group of Panther juniors that played trials.

Three teams were whittled down after each local trial to form one whole squad.

As a squad and as a team, that under 20's that did lose was a team of un-knowns (and to a degree,to each other) that had never played together until last night.

Again...one must take things in perspective rather than the result of the game.

The other point is these lads were playing a team well above their weight so to speak.

Some or most of the players that played in the NSW Cup game will be playing in the U 20's during the NYC 2014 comp.

See how it goes when we play each other then...eh?

In the first half maybe. And without Josh Reynolds I wouldn't call us full strength either.

We played plenty of young blokes second half, maybe check the teamlists next time :thumb
